XIII Versus = XV?

Perhaps they wanted to leave the terrible XIII stigma behind?

Seems pretty legit though. They've already done it with Agito XIII.

and i'm still calling bull on this 'leak' although, it wouldn't shock me in the slightest IF 15 was announced @E3, I really doubt this is real though

It kind of makes sense if you think about it.
This game was going to be called "Versus XIII" because it was meant to be the opposite of the original XIII... but XIII-2 already fullfilled that purpose.

All I care about was that I just saw English subtitles with Japanese audio...

Yeah I noticed that too...seems like this is going to be the first FF on a Nintendo console since FF6.

Pretty sure he meant the "main" numbered set.

As opposed to Tactics Advance/2 and Crystal Chronicles. Or ports of older games that were already on Nintendo Systems.

It's real even if the name is something else the trailer is old.

That's why people are suspicious... You can edit video footage. Wouldn't even be that difficult.

it might 'look' officalish, but that is easy as hell to fake. Also, if they were doing something as major as changing the title they would announce it with a year old trailer? ya huh.

Just watched that video again looks fake if it was a real change I think there would be a bunch of JPs there and no one speaking english......Or maybe just some FF freaks like myself at a school...

Sadly, it's fake. They use the Japanese version of the ESRB logo (CERA) and have it in the wrong place. It's some German "news" site thats trying to get hits.

Near the end of the video, the logo fades oddly and the "closing" text comes up overlapping the picture logo which any professional development house producing a trailer would not do. But they were clever enough to change the japanese text below the "Final Fantasy XV" logo from the old "Final Fantasy versus - XIII" to "Final Fantasy XV", but didn't take care of the other stuff like the CERA logo and the way it all fades out.

If this was true, I'd actually be more excited that a game like Versus would be able to run close to that level on the Wii U more than I would about a main series FF title back on a Nintendo console.

I'd still bet Nintendo will have at least one major surprise announcement for the Wii U though. Their approach to their console business model changed drastically with the 3DS and I'm hoping they take this chance to really wow people about the Wii U.

Square Enix loves to announce ***. So much so, that they're re-announcing an already announced game that was announced before the previous game was even announced.

I'm surprised they don't announce their intention to announce an announcement, at a press release regarding the announced announcement.

w/e the game title is called, im really hyped for it, and I hope that it makes up for the Lolfail games ff13 and 13-2, Its made by the same people that made Kingdom hearts, So gameplay will probably be fun.
