Looking to farm myself 2 x PDT/MDT Dark Rings, just wondering if anyone has any helpful shortcuts they cold spare? I'm about to go and try like i do in altepa with a pdt set pld/rdm and AE mobs. Any decent easy mobs to do that with here?
Cheers peeps

Still good information there, theres no definite answer as to how much amber exactly is going to net you a 6/6/6 ring anyway.

If your BLU is setup to CW burn I would recommend doing that on the THF tonberries, worked pretty nicely for me. I don't think you could do that with AE burning with the risk of getting grudged/throat stabbed+slapped to death though :x

Tonberries >> leech/funguar >> eft/big treants imo for perferred mob blu aoe burn Konst. I think theres 14 or 16 big treants quite far apart though. Tonberries are best though, can even throw in a few of the mages ones in each pull too.

Just get some amber/pearl enough azure to see TE and full cruor chests, its simple. Theres no special facts or tricks to it if you're not getting them with 60ish-128amber and 128 pearl/azure just do it more.

Go DRG.
Cap Amber on saplings.
Spend the last 30 minutes or so murdering everything.
Get insane Dark Rings.

I suggest amber killing Pavan (Garuda avatar floating around) and then Azure killing ephemerials. Then just straight pearl kill everything for a bit with mass pulls.

Saplings for AOE killing with no worry of ruby... or Tonberry with cata or edge once amber/perle/azure to your liking.

Your going to be in there a minimum of 3 hours to see 1 good thing maybe 2 with luck. I got my mule the Refresh+1 hairpin and two decent dark rings in about a 6 hour farm session.

The benefit of a 6 hour farm session? 33k per dark ring (bad ones) to NPC... turned a profit of almost 2 million gil.

after needed lights capped, you can get really decent size pulls mixing the trees and morbol together.

Tried every mob in the highlands; Wivres are the best. They do not deaggro so you can round them up very easily.

255 Amber + you can stop at around 1/2 of pearl cap assuming you have 3/3 abyssites + same for azure (assuming you need TEs).

On blu I like to pull bugards due to their enhanced movement. With frisky sabots you can pull them all very quickly. And ya sometimes I like to grab the wivres too since they don't de-agro and I can just flee back to bugards.

This was how my wife and I got our refresh pins and dark rings.

If you have only pearl and amber you get very good gold chest rates, but you have to spend a good chunk of time redoing lights as you have to reenter when you run out of time.

I do have to say, getting amber on drg is annoying since our only amber ws really really sucks.

I went drk and herc slash 1-2 pavan's for capped amber. SE of his spawn is a clionid patch with 2 ephemerals within 200 yalms (if you want azure too).

Lights aren't as hard as the patience and focus. It goes lightyears faster if you don't stop to check chests*. My chest ADD is what made most of these runs fails.

*IE have someone else do it or get a billion keys and just pop anything blue and dont waste time destroying reds

Yeah, totally - you can only do so much to encourage the right chests to pop - no matter what, you still get a mix of stuff. Quantity is the answer.
