Can't access FFXIAH, I.P banned?
Hello all , I can't actually get on the site for some strange reason. I'm having to use a proxy bypass just to post this thread. Any clues to why I can't access ffxiah any more?
Well... considering you only have 15 posts I don't think you're IP banned unless you were a complete *** in those 14 posts previous to this one.

Nah, I rarely post lol. I know for a fact I haven't done anything wrong to get myself banned. I'm quite confused right now, :S Just want ffxiah back lol.

Until then though what have you tried to do to fix the issue besides the one that allowed you to post?
Yes, I've tried on Chrome, Internet explorer, Firefox the lot... Still absolutely nothing.
This happened to me a while back. Apparently it's our ISP or something. Just wait it out. I was able to access the site in about 4 days.
Reset my connection via router/modem. Reset computer, tried all different web browers and done a system restore track backing 2 days ago.
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
Right click hosts and edit with notepad/notepad++
at the bottom see if you have ffxiah down at the bottom, if so delete it then restart your computer and try getting back on normally. If it's not there then ignore what I said :3
(you might have to save to desktop then drag it to the etc folder to overwrite it since you need administrator rights on the editing program, you can get around this by opening notepad/notepad++ with admin rights then open hosts that way)

Then it's probably your ISP then D:!
Yeah, I may just have to wait it out I guess.

after ruling that out like i just did best thing for u to do is call your isp and see if they are updating something or fixing something,sometimes people get things that go buggy when they are working on something.
also on a side note it should not take 4days for u to use your internet or parts of it when they are working on your isp that at most should take 1-2 days depending on what they are fixing or adding.

you can try this, but dont know if it will work...
go to start > run (if on XP) then type "cmd"
or if vista +
start > search box type "cmd"
in the command prompt type in:
/ipconfig release
then
/ipconfig renew
restart your computer and see if you can access..
all it does is request new data from your ISP

It did nothing :O but of course the problem was he just needed to reinstall FFXI <.>

Are you using a router? Try plugging your pc straight to your modem. I had the same problem Warcraft websites at times then realized it was my router. If it has QOS {Quality of service} activate it go to the website deactivate QOS if it loads and it should work.
Have you tried turning on DMZ? It's not safe by any means, but can help narrow down the margin of possibilities of what is preventing your connection here.
