1) Does the +10% haste effect added to familiar only apply if you wear the piece full time, or does it need to be equipped only during activation and 2) how does this work for jug pets, since those last for a lot longer than 30 minutes (aka do you get the +10% haste effect for the duration of the jug pet has remaining or for only 30(40?) minutes?) thanks in advance

1) The additional haste is the result of the augmented Familiar effect - you don't need to keep the Monster Trousers+2 equipped.

2) The haste effect persists for as long as the jug pet is alive, just as the +10% HP familiar effect stays for the full jug pet duration. 30 minute Charm duration (or 40 minutes with the +2 relic pants) is unrelated to Jug Pets.

Just looking to confirm familiar effects of haste and hp+ will last the entire duration of the pet's life and not just 30 mins, or apparently 40 mins with trousers.

Better to use familiar when you enter dyna or when you get 30 min warning for example.

The Familiar effect (+10% HP) lasts for the full duration of your Jug Pet. I confirmed this today in Konschtat[A] using level 99 MailbusterCetas (4912 Max HP). After using Familiar, Healing Salve restored 2702 HP when below 50% health, so 5404 Max HP.

I used this method at several intervals throughout the 2 hour lifespan of Mailbuster to see that the Familiar HP boost was still in effect (used Bakka to lower its health to < 50%). It continued to have 5404 Max HP for the full 2 hours.

So yes, use Familiar at the start of your Dynamis run (or after you get your TEs, or whatnot). :)

The 2hr Familiar it self (Without augmented Monster Trousers +2) doesnt have any haste bonuses right? Ffxiclopedia.org still seems to have that misinformation, so just wanted a confirmation.

I can't hunt ep's well in dyna if I familiar my pet.
Its too hard to proc them before they die. I really go down to only 2/3 mobs proc'd this way... or else I have to get more creative and heal/stay my pet while I proc.
