Just a heads up. On April 2nd, 2012, Gamestop will no longer be accepting Gamecube games/systems for trade in. So if you are a collector or want to get your hands on some of the really good games Gamecube had to offer (yes, there are some >_>) best to start looking around.

I already got my list together and got things like Wind Waker, Mario Sunshine, Metal Gear Solid, etc.

Thanks for the heads up. I should do this ASAP as not to resort to greedy ebay antique holders.

Thanks for the notice, just looked on their site and the couple of stores nearby didn't have the games I wanted (Mario Sunshine and Tales of Symphonia).

Just got em on Ebay for a little over what Gamestop wanted for em, so I can't complain. Good luck in your hunts for the games you might want e_e

Yeah, Tales of Symphonia, Cubivore, and Pikman 2 are pretty rare and hard to find. Hell they still want 40 bucks for Pikman 2 used.

Any other notable GC titles worth getting aside from the ones already mentioned (Wind Waker, Mario Sunshine, Twin Snakes)?

Tales of Symphonia is an amazing game. Also, the Metroid Prime series (MP 1 and 2 on GC, 3 on Wii) are awesome if you don't already have them.

Um, I can't currently think of any other games I could recommend to snag before Ebay wants tons of money for em, lol.

Metroid Prime 1 & 2, and Crystal Chronicles if you have buddies to play with. Phantasy Star Online was also always fun, and there are still private servers around for it.

I love so many gamecube games, it's a shame they're no longer accepting them :(
Crystal chronicles and LoZ 4-swords was the ***with the gameboy advance implementation. Each player having their own personal radar/screen was genius.

With lots of people still playing!

If it wasn't for FFXI, I would continue playing with my HUcast :(

Usually games are easy to find on Amazon for quite cheap.

Game hunting went alright yesterday. Got Super Monkey Ball, RE 0 and 1, Animal Crossing.

Some Games are going to be a pain. Cubivore is rare as hell and some games I wanted are 20 miles away from where I am so I need to find a day to do that. Unless I can get all those stores to ship those games to my local store, lol.

I enjoyed Paper Mario: The 1000 Year Door :3

Twilight Princess, Wind Waker, Baten Kaitos, Skies of Arcadia...

The news of them no longer accepting Gamecube games isnt that big a deal here in my area. I cant remember the last time I saw gamecube games in the store. Its all about PS3, Xbox 360, PS VIta, and Wii in their store now >.<

tbh I'm surprised they've taken them as long as they have, probably only because up until the newer models of the wii still supported the games.

Personally I use my wii as a zelda box but on the Wii scene if they ever get GC hdd loading working properly I'll be getting a lot more gc games. Still keeping my actual gc though for things like gameboy player :D

What models don't play Gamecube games? I've never heard that. I'm sure they are stopping it because Wii U is going to be out later this year.

EDIT: Just read up on it, its only an EU bundle that won't play gamecube games so wouldnt affect game stop.

AH, nvm, at first it said it was only EU but I guess its the New Super Mario Bundle that doesn't play it.

Either way, i'm sure it has more to do with the Wii U coming out and not that.

Gah, annoying. One game stop I found online had most of the games I wanted but when I got there, they had thrown at all the cases they had for the games and only have the games themselves now. There are some out in Philly but don't want to head out there really.

With that said, anyone know of any good websites that sell used gamecube games that over highly overpriced? Im aware of Amazon but that is going to be my last ditch try.
