what was about it?

Well the show is about various science fiction authors.

They analyze what makes true science fiction, and compare and contrast thoughts of fancy back in the day, with hard science and real technology inspired by some of the science fiction author's words.

First one was about Mary Shelly, she is considered the mother of science fiction. She was the first person to take wild and scary stories out of mythical things like ghosts etc. and made it about science run a muck.

The show talked about what inspired her ideas. Such as a somewhat eccentric real "scientist" of her day was using electricity on cadavers to make them move some.

It then goes into present technology that reflects against, Frankenstein's Monster.

Extremely fascinating show

Some subjects so far:

George Lucas, Mary Shelly, Isaac Asimov, George Orwell, and a few others. They have only had 2 seasons with only 4 episodes each though. Get their ratings up next season!

It is a somewhat chilling reminder for instance that Mary Shelly inspired the concept of organ transplants, and we are now able to transplant whole limbs.

They also reflected man's ability to create life as a concept from her novel, and now we are on the verge of creating artificial intelligence that rivals human capability and capacity.

Has anyone else seen this?
