yea i usually reserve judjement on games till ive actually played them especially when me1 me2 were awesome and you know its made by bioware lol.

but yea people whining about dlc need to just grow up its pathetic as realisticly game companys found a way to get money for rentals and preowned games like everyone knows in part they deserve, yet then people cry about it i mean come on....

look at it like this companys like game /gamestation/ any company who buys preowned and resells efectivly rips off game companys massivly they go out of there way to not sell new copies so they can take money away from companys like bioware and such is that fair?

I take extreme pleasure in shooting the riot type troops through thier little vision slots in their shields...

For plot holes I'm not far enough to comment on that but they have already stated that the Mass Effect universe will continue on after this game so it stands to reason that they would leave some stuff open for a later date. There are also 3 books and several comics that cover some relevent info that might help to fill in some holes.

Um no. It's more like the vast majority of users hate it.

635 neg reviews, 20 mixed and 205 positive reviews. It seems like if you played the last two and liked them, you'll hate this game.

Personally I only played ME2 and thought it was meh, so don't really care about any of this. Just pointing it out.

thing I hated the most out of ME1, was running around like an idiot in that city, and while driving that car around was cool, looking for materials was annoying.
ME2 made it simpler at doing both
ME3 made it more simpler, not a bad thing.

one thing I liked about
ME2 is the pressure you get when doing side missions and then forced to take on the main story, and at a point if you get too sidetracked, you loose essential.... "resources".

while (ME3) "doom" is basically on top of you, you dont feel as pressured, time wised, and things seem to be progressing rather smoothly for being overwhelmed and annihilated.

I think my major complaint about the game, is that "paragon/renegade" options, don't seem to impact the outcome of stuff, as to it just being there.

asides all that, I'm finding the game to be fun and enjoyable.

I never play or don't play a game based on user reviews. Users are people, people are stupid. If I want to play a game I play it, if it sucks then I just play Ghostbusters instead, because that game is *** awesome.

I have to agree with some of the negative criticism. As a fan of the series since 2007, I'm relatively dissapointed by how Bioware decided to handle the development for the end of their flagship trilogy. After seeing Dragon Age 2 though, I'm not too surprised and had buckled for this sort of thing. It isn't the worst game ever, but Mass Effect certainly deserved more than going out on a... sour yellow note.

inb4 they try to fill the plotholes and cliffhanger endings with $10~20 DLCs.

I just couldn't get into it. I play games for the challenge, not for the story.

I love how I'm a troll for not liking ME2. Like it's some game that everyone has to love. I played through the whole thing and it just didn't grab me, sorry.

Also I was just pointing out the reviews, I have no stake in this. Just thought it was interesting.

been playing since the original mass effect, playing the same shepard through the entire trilogy, and this was easily one of my favorite games ever.. right up until 5 minutes before the credits rolled.. then it was *** terrible. hell of a ride, but a miserable let down of an ending. ruined the overall game for me. honestly, it hurts the trilogy as a whole...

and before anyone suggests it, i didn't just get a bad ending. my galactic readiness is at 100%, my military strength is over 7k, and just to be sure i looked online, exposing myself to mass spoilers.. there's no ending i wouldn't have been disappointed with :\

I heard the ending is rather "meh." I mean, it can't be more rage-filled than XIII-2 (it was good rage, but boy did tables feel thine wrath)

I'm currently going through it. Combat wise it's far better than the previous ones, and I love the new guns and armor. The side-quests are more user-friendly, so to speak. I'm loving it.

Lucky for me, even if the story "sucks" I love the combat so I'll be playing again and again and again. I also heard the multiplayer is actually pretty fun/nice.

Unfortunately, for anyone who is a fan of the series, it's those last 10 minutes that kill the entire trilogy. It's deus ex machina at its worst.

true, it's not a terrible game. like i said, right up to the end i legit enjoyed it. it was great seeing the groundwork i'd laid out throughout the last 2 games pay off. combat feels slightly more.. tuned? than mass effect 2. for whatever reason i always had to resort to the smg in me2. like there wasn't enough ammo in the game or something.. but for me3, black widow was really all i needed. granted i loved the fact that i could run with all 5 weapon types if i really felt like it. but... black widow!?

as for multiplayer, building my galactic readiness to 100% didn't feel like a chore, but i dunno if it'll have staying power. it's sorta like.. borderlands? but with more classes and no laughs.

but at the end of the day, i personally, very much play games like this for the story. wich was part of why the journey was so engaging, i made my own story across 3 games. and why the ending was SO bad. i really cannot convey how god awefull the ending was (at least imo) without "spoiling" it for you :\ good luck though.

I do admit that they give us way too much ammo in this one, at least on Normal (I always play default difficulty on a first run of a new game).

The negative criticism isn't about the gameplay for the most part, it's about the pisspoor storytelling and ending put forth into the final installment of a previously amazing trilogy.

In Mass Effect, you meet Sovereign, a primer to the Reaper being, a foreboding and ominous presence. In Mass Effect 2, you are thrust into conflict with Harbinger, who is decidedly less effective at being foreboding than Sovereign was. In Mass Effect 3, you speak with no Reapers (aside from once, which is barely a worthwhile exchange). They're turned into Saturday morning cartoon villains by the end of the game; from the nigh invincible, Galaxy devouring dreadnoughts that bring the end of advanced civilization to destructible entities that dance around and chortle while being ineffective at performing their function. The Illusive Man serves as a far better villain, a well developed tragic character.

The ending of the game is just a complete slap in the face. Lore wise, it makes absolutely 0 sense, there is no justification for it, and logically it makes even less sense*. It also creates a no-win situation: no matter what you choose, there's horrible consequences. All of the decisions you make in the last 6 years worth of games are for naught, they make absolutely no impact on your ending whatsoever, they only impart cameo appearances and insignificant changes to cutscenes that have no weight. You could go in there with no alien races on your side and get the same endings except for one brief "epilogue" if you decide to try for a "perfect" playthrough.

All in all, BioWare let down their fans on this one, just as they have on all of their recent releases. Losing a lot of their most talented staff and becoming one of EA's lapdogs has deteriorated the studio almost beyond recognition, and it's a damn shame.

black widow combined with the infiltrators cloak dmg bonus, 2 shots brutes. 1 shot cloaked, second shot doesn't need it. cryo ammo concentration mod and high caliber barrel. though honestly the cloaked shot does more than 2/3rds the brutes health so ammo and mods may not be needed.

<3 black widow, seriously
