My only issue with things like hagneia stone is that hit builds are kinda dumb in the 1st place for non 2-handers.
I'm too lazy to math out how many hits per round are in a standard vereth tp set, but for example:
Let's say it's 2.5hits/round
Without Hagneia= 17 hits after WS= 6.8 attack rounds on average to WS= 7 attack rounds.
With Hagneia= 16 hits after WS= 6.4 attack rounds on average to WS= 7 attack rounds.
Now I don't know off the top of my head what the real attacks per round are, and Hagneia might actually drop an attack round on average, but it's not just as clear cut as Hagneia Stone definitively being better just because it takes 1 less hit to 100. On top of which most people aren't attentive enough to always WS right at 100TP anyway.
While the overflow caused by Hagneia can increase Smite's crit rate, I wouldn't say it would necessarily counter the loss of 15 attack during tp phase.
All that being said I don't ever use Verethragna anymore, but just wanted to point out that it's not as cut and dry when talking about pseudo hit builds for dual-wielder/h2h users.
