Thank god. I know it brings a kind of element of strategy to some fights, but I miss the days of just beating the crap out of things. Hopefully they'll find a way to find the best of both worlds.

Don't get me wrong, I think it was an interesting system and quite fun.

People use to think the HNM system was interesting too.

I like every system in the game, but there is just some things I don't do anymore because I've done them to death! Proc'ing was an interesting system but really kicked some jobs in the dirt.

I would love to see a system where you can go any job in a low man group without being penalized because you're filling up a spot with a job that can't cover a wide enough range of procs.

Just going out and having fun with friends without worrying about what job you are, and what you can't do because you're going that job, is what I want. Now that is what I think would be fun.

I think they introduced the proccing system to reduce the need for Treasure Hunter. So instead of bringing a THF, you have to bring a WAR, BLM, NIN, etc., oh yeah and a THF cuz some stuff is still affected. Thanks SE.

I think she is just including new content along with new chapters for VW and probably that new event coming up, the last stand or w/e.

The dungeon crawling probably wasn't planned for that anyways. Also don't think they were planning on using that system in limbus or slavage either.

I like it too, but you also need to draw the line somewhere.


Needs to have some content where you can't just have a weakness on it and have that "unknown" feel to it (if that makes any sense at all)

Yea, I like to see the !!'s pop up

Just wish it didn't push so many jobs away from smaller groups.

I just started doing VW about a month ago and that was the first time I saw a PUP in over a year out in the field and not in a town.

I know not many people enjoy the job, but come on. It felt weird not seeing PUP's around ; ;

I think its silly to get rid of it, now we go back to the old same 6 jobs and just killing things mindlessly, at least weakness system spiced it up a little and each fight was different.

Each stage of VW is going to get harder and harder, the proc system isn't going away.

They are just balancing things out like they should be doing. Not everyone likes the proc system.

Honestly I just miss being able to play certain jobs, like SCH. I pretty much never got to bring it anywhere because while I could handle healing or nuking on it, I just didn't have the procs, making it a waste of a slot in most parties.

They should just have proc's from magic/abilities of whatever jobs you bring. Not from most jobs randomly. That way you can low man as well as huge hnm fights and still have some proc strategy.

At that point it's just adding a layer to the fight that is unnecessary rather than a layer to strategizing before the fight that is somewhat unnecessary. Leaving all of the procs at once isn't an issue, however I fail to see how being able to proc with every tier of magic and every type of jug pet ability is pertinent as all it does it cause an unneeded and sometimes frustrating level of drawing out the process.

Usually fights don't last 10~20 minutes because they're hard, they last 10~20 minutes because you have to cycle through a metric *** of different spells and abilities for each proc. Difficult fights with less varied amounts of procs would be more acceptable, but maybe that's just me.

They could try job balance instead of halfbaked systems where it's not even possible to cover all procs with any setup...
