Super Scholar Soloing

Pre Kaustra I couldn't see it happening; post Kaustra I suppose it could be possible with tons of meds and being 100% on your A-game.

The lowest I've ever seen it won with was a trio of RDMx1 BLMx2 at lvl 85, all of them had to 2 hour and use tons of meds.

I doubt it personally, the regen it gains is just far and away too potent. Attempting to defeat it in a 3 minute window in which the regen would only be partially nulled would be cutting it extremely close due to the massive mp requirements of Kaustra, curing yourself if you get smacked with waterga IV, blizzard V etc.

Even as /rdm and using parsimony, I think that we really lack the means of completing it within the 3 minute time span due to not only mp costs, but general lack of variety in spells due to the turtle's innate resistance to pretty much everything but Ice magic. (and to that effect we're severely limited by recast timers if you're only using blizzard V and IV to spike)

Yeah, I just tried it on the test server...there's absolutely no chance it can happen. Kaustra does half the damage it does on other NMs (~400), which is nowhere close to nullifying his regen. My Blizzard V's did about 5% of his HP, Blizzard IV 3%, but he regened 1% per tick so it was basically pointless; never got him past 90%. Save your seals.

As for other SCH solos...

Both on the test server, along with various random NMs on the real server.

Try it on the test server, they even give you the seals to waste.

How did you get doubles of a lot of those temps? 2 lucid potion II, 2 healing and mana powders... and 2 lucid ether II

It gives doubles? thats kinda unbalanced lol... My LS hasn't done zilart yet.. keep backtracking to get everybody jeuno access >_<. Damn 3x T4 clears take a lot of our time lol

Celaeno fights continue to be impressive. Shinryu, on the other hand.. well, unlimited MP. 'Nuff said.

following mischief's lead the only things worth while i've really done solo was lamprey lord at 90, at 95 i was able to duo celaeno.
