Just curious what the current best sets are for these two.
Also, some general rule for both WSs would be much appreciated. example: 1 AGI = 2 STR etc.

Slug/Detonator
Well both detonator and slugshot have an agi mod of 30% so the added strength is negligible. For detonator the tp tiers of 100% 200% and 300% modify the weapons dmg. So really you should stack more agi where you can vs str and where you can't get agi in that slot go for range attack gear. Agi > Rng Atk > Str.
Why would you use Detonator anyway?(unless you really want to contribute to a light skillchain..?)
Even with nearly +100 ranged accuracy I still miss some slugs. I like the consistently accurate detonator on evasive mobs. ...no wildfire obviously. :(

Go make yourself a TP bonus Magian, that should help Slug's accuracy a lot.
Due to fstr2, STR is roughly estimatable to be equivalent to a 60% mod. what is this "added strength is negligible" :<?

1STR=2.5(around 2~3 if I remember correctly) AGI or rattk I think. If your fSTR2 uncapped.
WS gorget/belt is good if you need racc or more dmg, MKE hat can be augmented with STR+4 WS acc+15 rattk+5 racc+10, those are some gears that may help if you need acc to land slug.
The best set really depends on what you're fighting.

Definitely recommend the moogle head noted above. +25 ranged acc right there with some other nice stats.
Gorget and belt I suppose.

Skadi hands are nice, but you may want to stick with seiryu's on tougher NMs.
Rings should be STR. You can WS with some ranged accuracy rings if needed.

Working on 11 agi > 7 r.attack for the body.
Yes I'm totally discounting r.acc. Why? Because that's just how I roll.
This isn't ideal, as I don't use it enough to carry around spendier gear for it. Most of this gear is in my sack most of the time because obviously I'm using Wildfire. But Slug/Detonator still have their uses.
Edit: Decided to ballpark a set for r.acc-needed situations anyhow.

Yeah. Picked up a pair. Actually meant to go back and throw them on the first set too, but as I cycle through these things off the top of my head so frequently never got around to it. Eh.

...on my Elvaan *** they are. At least, that's how I feel about it as a dude.
Also, I don't have the Japanese fascination with making good gear as hiddeous as possible. Subligar shouldn't even exist. Ditto to half the mage gear out there.
