Seen this anime? I owe my discovery of this music to it.
The guy who compose the music is considered the "father" of the J-Hip hop movement.

I like J-Hip hop a lot more than mainstream stuff, very chilled in comparison. I'd also like to note that there is no "hos n money" theme for any of the rap songs unless there's a mashup somewhere. Most of the music is mostly just beats and instruments but rappers are starting to pop up.

Anything Tech N9ne, Immortal Technique, Murs, etc. Sir lucious leftfoot album by bigboi is pretty awesome too.
