Charm Set

What do you guys currently use as your charm set and your ultimate goal you want to end up at?

I think charmable pets will be available soon so I decided to start working on my charm set to include new gear and am looking for ideas.

I have Twilight Set so I think i will use that for Body and Head.
Apollo's is a given.
I use Emp Af3 legs +2 (10Chrm iirc)
AF1 Beast Gaiters +2 for feet
Trainer's Gloves for hands

Just looking to improve a bit.

Doubt new mobs would be worth it over jug pets, but would love to be proven wrong. Save the inventory space for now.

I only got interested in BST post-abyssea so I never got into charming but I always wondered why Apollo's? It doesn't have significant CHR, and it doesn't say anything about Charm, is there a hidden effect or elemental affinity to charm? Just curious.

If only there was some sort of wiki that had information like this.

Im waiting for an Amicus grip to go on sale right now and a Tsar's Egg would be my last upgrade along with +1 monster jackcoat for an additional +1 charm. twilight mail could be a respectable swap as 15 chr is quite a bit.

id stick with monster helm over twilight helm though, as its still 4 chr and charm +5 and id go with af3+2 legs over monster trousers as 10 chr would outway charm +2.

also noted, if you'd like a longer charm duration, you could use regular af legs, which is charm +6. the highest possible comination of charm + gear you can use is +25 be mixing and matching relic and af.

Ive been on top of my Charm set since the new release of Grounds Tomes. When farming chests in some zones, i find its much more easier charming the new mobs rather than going through pet food and jugs just to farm. im not cheap by any means, its just preference.

+Charm affects charm duration, CHR affects charm success, for most situations you will be pet swapping during the fight so success is far more important than worrying about keeping the same pet charmed for an extra 30 seconds. Stack CHR as much as possible.

Not necessarily. If you're using PDT axes to TP with, you ll be pet swapping a lot less. Even just using 1 PDT axe and af3 legs will make a difference. You do want some duration as you'll be pet swapping less.

I don't think Charm is a part of Beastmaster anymore, personally I'm fine with that. I much prefer the Familiar system because Read commands are a thousand times more useful than the sic command that has your pet waste TP 99% of the time. The only real downside of Call Beast is we still lack a Bird Ecosystem jug. And a Dragon Ecosystem if you want to count the fact that BST can charm Puks.
