I know just from playing around in various zones (Dyna mostly) that there's a lot of surprising things in Vana d'iel that 90BST can do solo or duo.
I'm just curious if anyone has some tips / methods to share that one or two 90BSTs can use to pull in some gil. Right now cruor PTs are the most efficient thing I've got, with most PT's pulling in ~300k gil/hr after conversion.
Any BCNMs to solo, untouched NMs, etc? If you want to PM to avoid posting I'll respect that, since I want to make gil and don't care if anyone else learns how (lol).
Just to contribute, and I'm assuming that this is common knowledge, but I've been using BST to roll through Dynamis - Beaucedine lately. I use BST/DNC and enter with some snk/invis pots and NN (just need a trash pet- the sleep helps) to take out the TE mobs. Then I head over to my family of choice (there are several safe spots for each) and Familiar a Yuly. If you focus on pulling mobs that proc with JA (steps, flourishes, and also Ready) you can rake in quite a bit of currency. I tend to take in about 40 pieces solo, but I haven't experimented enough with the NM's yet (which are not much of a problem to solo)- who I imagine you could pull some 100's off of every other day too.
Oh, and BST is by far my favorite job to take to a Cruor PT.
/assist <silly non-BST> <wait1>
/pet "Fight" <t> <wait1>
/ja "Call Beast" <me> <wait1>
All you have to do is hit one macro over and over while you watch TV, if even that...
I know there's a BST solo thread, but that seems to focus on how powerful the job is and not necessarily what it stands to gain. I made this thread for an interest in potential for acquiring things not just showing off what the job is capable of.

Aren't Chocobo blinkers more than the gear?
Edit: Yes.

Chocobo blinkers are definitely the way to go with cruor, and not just because of the conversion rate. They're not ra so you can fill your inventory with them. I'm hoping that there's a better option than cruor pt's for BST, but idk.
Vrtra huh? How many does that require?

kk, ty! seems like it would be faster as well instead of filling up with gear, selling and repeating over and over.

I don't know what constitutes as good gil anymore, but I made a good 4M over the course of two weeks just doing GoV in certain zones and selling their Treasure Casket drops.

No, they wont. Also gil is still easy as hell to make, even outside of cruor > gil converting. Crafting is still very profitable if you look up which synth you can craft for a low price and sell the HQ for even more. I have seen synths that one person monopolizes, he buys the mats for ~57k total and sells the HQ for 1m~1.5m. Assuming it takes him a few tries, 10? That's still 500~k profit. There are plenty of ways to make gil now.

Blinkers have been the same since Scars of Abyssea was released. If they were going to nerf them, they'd have done it already.

Well Yagudo freezers/orc piercers/shellbusters used to NPC for a good amount before they nerfed their sell prices to the ground a couple years ago so anything's still possible.

Only because RMT were abusing it, there are no RMT around anymore for the most part.

They're still around, but just not as much as before. A number of RMT sites stopped providing service for this game in favor of newer ones.

Yes it can, but good luck selling the Cashmere now. Been sitting on my last payload from Vtrta for 2 months now. No one wants it anymore.

I think so, the SMN should just watch out for when it starts casting meteor, it has a very large range. And bring some Dawn Mulsums for when reward is down.
