RDM Solo

whats a good level to start soloing for rdm? Soloing...imo...is better than main healing a shitty party so yea...any idea?

With FoV you can really start anywhere. I'd say 23-24 is good to solo the highest FoV in Valkurm comfortably. 27ish you can move to Qufim comfortably and I would guess (not having done the new FoV's) that it would just progress from there. Regen and Refresh at 24 is godly.

Campaign, but you're leveling the wrong job if you don't like healing >_>

Although yeah, I don't like to party as RDM anymore either :P

For exp? I'm not quite sure.
Usually Rdm soloing refers to NMs, atleast from what I hear/see...
You are wayy better off exping in parties. 54+ will net you invites fast. It's not exciting, but it's a good way to practice on what you will be doing for the most part - healing, buffing, and enfeebing, lol.

can do pets, same lvls as BLMs, just a tad slower.

well im at 37and just got out of a pty where someone (a drk...) was using Soul eater and last resort every chance he got..just to make me waste mp on him and being elvaan...i dont like wasting my mp. So yea i dont really want to deal with ppl like that until some better gear becomes available. so yea...lv 37 where would be a semi good place?

qufium till 40 with page 5 fov, then move to first jungle maybe i havent tried there but seems a good bet, if not go to BG i soloed 45-50 on thf there but rdm w/fellow should do ok. Wish someone would put together a nice FOV solo/duo/trio guide cuz im way to lazy

I've been curious about this too. I just got rdm to 65 and I'm having trouble finding reasonable soloing places, that don't require walking across multiple zones and I can get FoV buffs from. Any ideas? RDM/NIN btw

Attowa Chasm maybe? I'm 54 and solo for exp works, but I'll save it for 75 when /nin is more useful. As for right now I suck up the "I hate healing" part of RDM and just go to a party. I've never really had a bad party where I worried about casting a ton of cures and run out of MP after 3-5 mobs. I mainly feel like I'm just leeching cause it's regen, refresh, haste, enfeeb and then maybe a cure III. Most of the time I'm just resting or redoing the refresh cycle.

65 Cape Terrigan and Valley of Sorrows are pretty good spots, and its not much walking as long as you have access to the Vollbow OP warp.

Being someone who solo'd half their RDM lvls(Pre-FoV).. I'd say anywhere.

Generally as a rule of thumb, with the FoV now I go to an area where I'm up to 5 lvls over from the cap if I was in a PT( Valkur-25, Qufim-30, First Jungle-35). The areas around Jeuno are great from the 30-40s also. Recently I have been duoing with a DNC/NIN in Pash Marsh (S) around 62 off snips. Alot of places (especially higher up) depend on your sub. RDM/WAR or RDM/DNC will work any level. Pre 70 though, I wouldn't /NIN unless I was dual dagger.
