I read somewhere that Haste on gear caps at 25%, i just managed to reach 26% after getting my THF afv3 legs +1 and now i am wondering..

Should i take out a piece of gear which gives haste? Like i have aurore gloves which give 2% haste, i could take it out and use other hand gears which give other stats?

I ask this because i have never been in a situation where i may possibly have, too much haste.

25% is soft cap, 26% is hard cap, which is where you need to be.

lol@this.

It's just 26%, there's no other caps.

Actual haste cap is slightly above 25%, 25.25% iirc, and you need 26% haste in gear to achieve this. So if you have 26% haste, stick with that.

For answering your question in case you obtain 27%...

Yes, if possible swap out 1% haste for better stats. However, ideally stay at 26%, or 25% if the gain from losing that .25% haste is large.

Haste in gear caps at 25(the percentage). However 25% in haste gear does not give 25(the percentage) because most pieces of haste gear give slightly less than the advertised percentage (a decimal value).

So, while 25(percentage) is the actual amount of haste you cap at, you need 26% haste in gear to reach this cap.

Of course, you're gaining like .3-.5% haste from that last %, so you're not getting a full % from it, but your haste is not capped w/ 25% in gear value.

25% is the actual cap, however because each numeral is actually slightly under the actual value (as in 5% is 4.9 something), you need 26% to truly get haste to 25%. Makes a Blitz ring less useful unless you're already going to have a substantial amount of other haste already (magic/JA).

Did you check the tags on mine?

Some of ImmaVegeta's videos has some good quotes to use as responses but has too much other stuff, so I trim them down to response videos.

Ok thanks for the replies :)

Simply wanted to know if i needed to switch to using homam legs instead of afv3 legs to keep my 25% but if its 26% then its all good to TP in them.

Also there is better gloves then Aurore, they are called Ocelot gloves, i did a run for them a month ago and even with all procs on the NM, they did not drop, but i managed to get a ton of people the VV atma so it was not such a big loss :)

Well, you could make one macro that will remove your dusk, AND put on increased movement, like say trotters.

Yes i do have trotters (won them from mog bonanza :) ) but i really do not feel like having dusk again, when i get some of my afv3 which has haste on them to +2 along with ocelot gloves, i will have no need for dusk, its such a level 75 gear :P

I only have 1 piece of AF3+1.

Zelus
Dusk Gloves +1 (I chose not to wear Rapparee Harness) Can wear Ocelot instead.
Twilight Belt
Raider's Culottes +1
Ballerines

27% haste so I'm over the cap myself.

i suppose i can, but i also move around a lot when in a party, having dusk on will just slow down my flow of getting off SATA, i never see any thf using dusk nowadays, i think its just a personal preference

Should be swapping in different gear anyways for SA, TA, and SATA. I see a lot of THF wearing full Aurore, doesn't make it right, does it?
