Is it even realistic to try to break my burning fists if im only on floor 25, its 6240 WS points. Has any one done this and how long does it take? It's hard to get any 1 to help do the climb and i have good gear for my mnk but it kinda all goes out the window when im doing backhand blow in abyssea. (im embarrassed to even WS) lol

Rev Fists +2/Vere would be faster, alot faster.
Plus, Rev Fists+2 aren't even hard to do if you do WoE during JP time. Might take you 4 days max for a better weaponskill.
(Thats what I did)

The lowest I ever did it was on floor 60. My friend did it on floor 45. It's possible, but you REALLY have to grind. I suggest getting a friend to help you by opening tier 3 skillchains for you if possible.
It really is faster just to get some people to help you get a few floors of nyzul though :/ Good luck either way.

we cleared floor 100 with pup, thf, rdm
so just find 2 peeps who have a clue on lamps floor and the other things, and the climb will be pretty easy.

I broke King's Justice after around 12k WSs so yeah... it can be done. Just makes you want to kill stuff IRL with your newly aquired WS after that.

Dang, 12k wspoints nice. I broke my Polearm while climbing to 100. My thf friend wanted Mandalic Stab so bad when it first came out he broke it at floor 59. He took a friend out and they spent like 6 hours doing lvl3's. He convinced his friend to let him go first so he could unlock it so maybe took him 3~4 hours? That's floor 59 though.

The SECOND I got the windslicer, I broke rana... I was on floor 11.. I solo grinded (with npc a lot of the time) and had some minor help here and there (maybe 3 hours total of the whole ordeal) from friends skilling up... I really wanted that WS lol.. took me 2 weeks to grind it out, and in the process i got 5 full levels of parry back in the day lol... and in the process I also learned how to self 3 step SC without Meikyo Shisui or Sekkanoki (this was before sekka came out) lol... got my timing down so I added a skill to my repatoire as I got parry skill ups... Its just a long process... When I finally saw Tachi: Rana in my WS list I literally stopped for a second and was screaming "WOOOOOOO FINALLY!!!!" lol

It's not hard, just a bit tedious.
If you exploit your npc or can get help from a friend for some additional SCs though, it'll go by fairly quickly.
And if you do it in the right zones, you may even come out with some extra Gil in your pocket.
Back when I unlocked WSs I'd easily pop 5-7 treasure coffers per session in Kuftal tunnel, and they're usually generous (around 10k).
That, the crab shells and meats to npc at the bonecrafting and cooking guilds, and the occasional Amemet (skins suck now, but he still drops Gil) pop made some decent Gil.

Why not do both WS points AND move-up floors at the same time? Every 3-4 days you can do 15-20 floors easily, meaning you can finish much more quickly by moving up some floors as you build-up WS points.
Even if all you did was do another 4 runs to get 20 floors that means you go from 6240 to 3120 in like an hour's time. That same hour's time would yield you what, 200 WS points tops?

When I did Nyzul originally, it was before they changed how credit worked. So one guy had Floor 80 recorded, and the rest of us were all on Floor 1.
So I got my Windslicer while I only has credit for Floor 1. After they did the update, where everybody got credit, we started over at Floor 1 so everybody got credit. I think I got Tachi: Rana on Floor 60. I just checked the Wiki, and that says I would have done 1760 WS points. Friend of mine still remembers those days, and I don't think they are fond memories for him.
Depending on the WS, or how many you need to get, doing Nyzul could be worth it. If you just need Ascetic's Fury, then I'd say find somebody who will help you. If you want other WS, for any of the other jobs, just get 3 friends and bang it out. Pick up some Denali hands for your PDT set while on the way.

I've known people who have broken the WS at floor one, it just depends on how motivated and bored you are.
honestly i think you would be bored out of your mind, so climbing up a few floors to decrease the amount is well worth it.
plus now days nyzul is very easy to climb with just 3 people ^^
best of luck :P

You would put in less effort in clearing the floors than doing 6000 weaponskills, just saying. I mean, feel free to do it but if you just climb when you have tags and WS when you don't you'll end up breaking it faster.

Depending on luck, you could probably get to 35 with only one other person. If you're seriously considering this, that should save you a few days - pay a merc.

my brother did it with his h2h on pup at floor5... spent literally a few months on it everyday trying to clear those, but thetime he got to 35 he got the ws... but its definitely not worth the time and effort that way, easier to just get ur floors up and then work on it
