Yep, and I'm staying home during this next hurricane. The last couple of hurricanes we've evacuated for, wherever we ended up, we ended up riding out the storm anyways, I don't see the point in running to hide when all I have to do is keep my *** in the house and I'll be fine. Just gotta remember to stock up on beer.. There's nothing to do but drink while you wait for everything to get turned back on. Which usually ends up being like a week or two.

I said the same thing when I seen Katrina coming up...

Yeah I had to float my *** to saftey with the few things that I could carry.

Glad to know you're safe. I know we've had some half formed ones hit every couple years, but it's still scary knowing they can hit this far north east.

New Jersey!?! I would have never expected that!

I read that Arkansas was going to be hit pretty hard. Which part of the state are you in? I hope you and your family are doing well.

:-( This is no good at all. My brother lives in North Carolina (along with his very pregnant wife, due in June) and my sister lives in Kentucky (along with her three young children, all under 10 years old and without their father there to help her.) I was displeased enough that a tornado hit near to them a few weeks ago, but now that area is getting battered again. Although it sounds like it's hitting all farther south than them at this time?

I hope everyone here who lives down there is being safe. Please be safe!

That would be crazy to be that close. I know the tornado sirens went off here(NC) last night but nothing touched down. Everyone is in my thoughts!

Katrina
Incoming cool story bro

I remember seeing the aftermath of Katrina first-hand when a couple of friends and I volunteered months afterwards. Some of the stories from people who stayed in city were horrifying!

Houston's good though. I have a few friends who look at hurricane season as just one of those annual occurrences. Most people I know stay in Houston. People will evacuate places like Galveston though just to be on the safe side.

That tornado was absolutely huge. Between 3/4 to a mile wide. I've only seen on up close I was about a mile away from a small f1 water spout that touched down into the lagoon in Gulf Shore AL.

That was one of the most intesnse tornado videos i think i've ever seen. Excellent job to whomever recorded that. Must have been terrifying at the same time. Also, the 3rd picture that was posted, the one with the turned over car, is that blood coming from the passenger side window/door? O.O;;
