Disconnect every hour
Anyone else having this problem? I play on xbox and every hour of gameplay I get booted from POL. Any suggestions? I have opened ports given to me by my router's support and playonline support teams. I've reset both my modem and router and had my modem replaced.
I get 2 error codes, They are
error code: FFXI-4002 error code: POL-0512 I'd recommend asking SE. They know what their error codes mean
I had an issue with my ISP working on the lines, SE knew about it but my isp didn't. they may be able to tell you something about that
I was told to mess with ports forwarding but the problem still exists. Been waiting 2 days for a response to my reply to their last email.
Did you just connect your xbox? or is this a new issue that suddenly appeared after not having a problem?

I play on the 360 myself. I can days without being booted. Or get booted twice in a row. The 360 is just kind of crappy at times.

I had the same problem and port forwarding didn't help either. however, you can set your local ip as a DMZ host in your router, you should have the option somewhere in your NAT settings. Not entirely sure what it does but it worked for me.

In 6 years I have not had a problem with my Xbox. Aside from the fact it sounds like a leaf blower. DMZ (demilitarized zone) essentially takes all port blocking off a particular ip assigned to a router. So if you aren't port forwarding right and blocked ports is the issue then setting your xbox to the DMZ will work.
You shouldnt need port blocking on an xbox anyway if you want to give that a try. Try connecting your internet line directly to the Xbox and bypassing the router.
I was having the same error, about every 15 minutes, for a very long time. Decided to bypass the router and I went 5 hours without disconnecting, until I signed out for the day. It could be your router is too far degraded. Cerberus.Eugene said: Did you just connect your xbox? or is this a new issue that suddenly appeared after not having a problem? It's just an issue that came up randomly. About a week+ now. Alexander.Brunwulf said: In 6 years I have not had a problem with my Xbox. Maybe it's my internet then. It's does not happen often though.

Well I'll try that first and in an hour if it happens again I'll rewire the whole shabangabang and make my router the access point. Bismarck.Bloodbathboy said: Maybe it's my internet then. Then like a week after they started offering extended warranties lol oops :) Bismarck.Bloodbathboy
