Noobing It Up On DNC

I've been a career Thf for like ever.
And just recently burned Dnc up from a subjob.
How the hell do you properly make a solo skillchain?
Is it just a /sam thing?
I tried WS>Reverse>No Foot>Striking>WS.... but I'm always about 10 tp short.
And when I wait for an extra attack round, It's taken too long.
Obviously I'm doing something wrong here.

I assume it's a chance to get enough tp in the next attack round, I don't have dancer at 90 or anything but do you have the gear the increases reverse flourishes tp return? Can also skillchain with Wild Flourish.

it really depends on a few factors

1) TP return from the 1st WS. (im assuming ur trying to do evis>pk?)

2) do u have 5/5 reverse flourish merits?

3) are u macroing in charis bangles +1/+2 hands b4 u do reverse flourish?

i personally just do evis > reverse flourish > PK = darkness

u could do evis > reverse > no foot > striking > PK but umm that might take too long....not sure

normally you get 5 finishing moves first > ws > reverse flourish > ws
i think you need full reverse flourish merits for this to work properly without /sam or some lucky double attack.
the charis +1/2 hands are nice for this too >:

if you're /sam you could try getting 200tp, 5fm
sekkanoki > phyrric cleos > evis > reverse flourish > rudras storm
for some double darkness fun

Actually, I haven't utilized the Charis Bangles yet.
Just slapped together a half-assed macro, until I sit down and write a spellcast.
Flourish is 5/5 merited, so that might just be what I need ^^
Is there any other gear that would enhance Reverse Flourish as well?
I'm trying to bust out a fancy Evis>Rudra's.

This is pretty much how I do it now, no matter the subjob. Easy to do with 5/5 Reverse Flourish merits, which is the key. You'd have to be slowed or stunned to possibly mess this up. PK, RF, Evis, done. I don't even have Charis hands yet and it's still not difficult. You do have to have 1 attack around in there between skillchains since Reverse Flourish will only give you 75 TP and the first WS will give you back around 15(?) TP, so gotta make up a bit more for the second 100. It's generally not a problem, even without DA or multi hit weapons.

Before I got Pyrrhic Kleos I'd frequently use /SAM for Sekkanoki to make Darkness as well. Not difficult at all. 200 TP Evis, DE, RF, Evis.

To mirror what everyone else said, yes 5/5 RF merits plus charis bangles +1 or +2 is pretty much all you need.

What i used to do (and still kinda do today) is this: PK first in STP/WS hybrid gear at the VERY end of your attack round. The stp helped me to get that bit of extra TP from the WS and from the attack round that immediately followed. Plus using PK first gives the mob eva down which in turn gives you more acc for evis. Then of course use RF and hit evis macro with full WS gear. Again this was before charis bangles so its not needed as much, but on high eva mobs that you might miss some WS swings on it helps.

And of course if you have time to prime, go dnc/sam, 200% TP and 5 FMs. Sekka > evis > DE > RF > evis = darkness. Not practical in a normal situatuation, but i use this when i augment stuff in sky on the doll NM and it never has the chance to touch me.

so i recently got twash stage 2 done, and was playing around with it on dnc, i know you have one too cause i see you walking around all the time with it (hehe). but i found Rudra's Storm > Reverse > Evis will do the best damage for me, i try to end on evis because the higher damage gives me higher darkness skillchain damage. you don't need /sam, but if you had /sam and the increase to reverse flourish mentioned above you can do a 3 part darkness Skill chain for even more damage. but i haven't messed around too much with this since i got PK.
