my GF calls it Pop,
I call it Soda.

I guess its because When i see "Soda Pop" i think of it like a name, meaning when i see my friend (Lets call him "Mike curly") i don't call him "Curly" i call him "Mike".

But thats just why i call it "Soda" :\

I've actually had this discussion in highschool before. My friends and I call it pop, but we decided that "Sodacolapop" was much more politically correct.
