How To Get ID To Dual Box A New Char.

Probably a simple Q & A thread here. Wanting to start a second account so can dual-box. My question is, I already have the game installed via disc on my PC for my main char, so whats the simplest/quickest way to buy another set of IDs, preferably without the addition of having to download the whole game again...

Get it from Steam. Right as it begins to download it'll have the option to read the Serial Number used to register another POL account.

Ok, sweet thanks art, I didn't know if I had to download it, install it, patch it, etc. before could look @ the numbers.

You can buy from gamestop online. That is how I got my second account. They have you download the game with all the expansions (optional) and email you the universal code that unlocks all the expansions.

and ffs uninstall steam after you get the code :D

i don't like unnecesary crap software on my machine (idk about the one you said, but i don't like how steam runs) just it's a good note to use the code (and write it down somewhere) then remove steam as you don't need it...unless you're playing the game through that distro, then you may?

Steam is worth having based on the loopholes it skips for installation to begin with. I wanted to rip my hair out at all the ***required to get GTA4 operational via install disc, but Steam bypassed it all. Very simple. Pay, install, play.
