I was watching Megamind yesterday.. Then i thought... 'Maybe.. we can draw our characters as .. superheroes!!! :D'
so this weeks challenge is Draw your character as your favorite superhero!

Well I know who's getting my vote.
...because I really have far too much time on my hands nowadays, I present to you this WIP of the CakeGirl animation!
Spoilered because I'm embarressed at the quality of it lolol.
Ignore the bit about previewing, that's not relevent to this exactly.
I hope you don't mind me somewhat butchering your entry Branwen! I've always fancied teaching myself how to do gifs/animated videos and my comment about the video I mentioned above set off a spark motivation to give it a shot for the hell of it.
I will say this though.
I now have a deeper respect for the amount of work that goes into anything animated. By no means is what I just did hard or of say Studio Ghibli quality, but the amount of time and planning I had to do for this took me by surprise. I mean... those bloody dots in the background for the dancing feet.
Seriously.
NEVER again...

Seeing as I'm making a .gif of it lol. About half way through making it if anyone is interested. I know I've already said this but I really have under estimated how long it would take me to do this, heh.

I've spoilered it again for the hell of it but here is what I've done so far:
I'd say it's at a stopping place for now. I'm enjoying doing it but the quality of the work is going down hill (second pair of legs I had to re-do after losing the original). I'd also love to do some of the later scenes but seriously, this is taking up too much of my time xD
What I would like to do is re-do the whole thing and take some care doing it, scene by scene and adding in details - like the frilly bits of the apron, the love symbols on the oven glove, the cake on the apron itself, cell shade it in places, pay attention to backgrounds ...but as you can read, that's a fair list!
I feel it was better to do what I could before the end of the week while people's minds were somewhat fresh compared to spending afew weeks on it and releasing a finished product to a confused audience.
Regardless, enjoy it!!
