Roundel Earring Why So Expensive? :/

Can anyone tell me why is it so expensive? ;_; my whm needs one u_u

It's expensive because nobody does Campaign anymore. Since they don't do camapaign, they don't get the required area for the fight.

This, and yes, it sucks ***. On Cerberus it's already jumped from 5M to 11M+, last I checked.

lol pretty simple.If I remember right, to enter the actual BC that drops it, certain areas need to be on a certain nation control in past(yeah dont remember wich one).If you go see how campains look atm....You will feel pretty alone lol

Simple answer: Rarity.

It's only got one source, the Campaign Ops BCNM "Plucking Wings", which is highly server dependent. Access to the Ops has multiple restrictions including a Windurstian allegiance, a high Campaign Rank (Iron Emblem of Service or higher), as well as requiring Windurst to have control of Castle Oztroja (S).

With so few people in Campaign these days, the chances of Windurst controlling Castle Oztroja (S) and unlocking access to this Ops is basically nonexistant. Most of the Roundel Earrings available for sale are likely from a time last year when Campaign was dominant, or transferred from a server where they're less expensive.

I know on Diabolos, so many people are allied with San d'Oria that we regularly obtained control of La Vaule and gained access to Witch Sashes and Cuch Mantles... but only a handful of times last year did we gain access to Plucking Wings and Roundel Earrings.

On that same note, Diabolos literally had ONE WEEK where you were able to participate in the Shadow Lord BCNM, and obtain Allied Rings. We've never seen access to that BC again.

SE needs to open up these Campaign Op's without needing the areas taken over. I believe in most servers, its been many months since they've been available.

It's good for not needing a body slot though so you can use af3+2 although I think you can still do it w/o earring.

@Khaty, you can still do campaign. Kill mobs in Castle 0 for hours w/o tags on and try to influence it for Windurst :)

Last I checked, WHM wasn't the only job that could use the earring.. Pretty sure the others have a good use for it as well..

If the campaign overhaul is successful, then you might be seeing only a few zones being claimed in the past.
Provided the prerequisites are fufilled, the fight may be more worth the time than the gil.

Though it is possible to hit the Waltz cap on DNC without Roundel Earring, using Roundel earring lets you swap AF2 head out for Anwig Salade without losing any potency.

HOPEFULLY, with the future campaign "improvements" SE talked about earlier may increase the probability of having access to the BCNM fight. I <3 campaign, and it saddens me that its this dead across all servers. As everyone has said, its the rarity of the item that has made the price sky rocket.
