I thought it was fun etc- not trying to show off my richness or something- cause I'm far from it.

Was this wrong? Meka (wife) kept telling me like how stupid I was.

*enter tl;dr*

When I was first starting to play, I didn't know how to 'Tab' (idk how it's done on 'normal' keyboard style) to target different characters.

So, my friend Hellbound said if I could find his brother Darkphantom, they'd give me 100k gil. Not knowing how to use Tab to move the cursor from person to person this was quite a challenge.. since he was a Ninja and using Tonko! idk if by luck or just frustration I finally found em and he traded me the gil ^^ At that point though- I didn't care about the gil.. I had made two good friends through the ordeal.

If it wasn't for Helly and his brother, how they acted, I doubt I'd still be playing now. I learned from them how to truly play a game like this. Not for yourself, play to have fun with everyone. Do what you can do make that happen. And, that's how I've tried to play ever since then, basically my first day.

I'm not saying every weird thing can lead to something like what happened to me.. just I thought it was something fun to do, random, like they had on me one day, and have fun like we all used to have on FF.

1m is abit much, but assuming he wasn't the sorta person to easily make gil (like some people are able to, though whatever means), you might've made his day... In short, if he wasn't a douche, he got lucky, you did something awesome for someone, and I wouldn't feel bad about it.

If he is going to go waste it all on something like a Casino, or gloat about how he got 1m for basically nothing, you dun goofed.

I got temp banned for /randoming that much for that kind of game once >_>

It's times like these that make the game fun, I agree. Sometimes we get so caught up with the competitive atmosphere that we forget this is just a game. Times like take us out of the competitive mindset and put a smile on our face I would say.

This is bad and you should feel bad.

/target <name> is a useful command

The only thing that should stop /ta <name> is being out of range. I've targetted people before they've loaded on screen with /ta in the past~

This is true, /target <name> actually appears to force their character to load in.
