well looks like i need to RMA one of my 780s ): fan is *** and removing the shroud to try to repair it myself would break the warranty. hopefully they send me another 780 or a comparable value card .-. guy on phone said it'd be either
A) 780
B) 970 (relatively same value)
C) Fair market value cash return ($350 which is about $100 less than it's actually worth atm)
meh. i'd take the 970 and sell my second 780 if it came down to it I guess, then just ride it until Maxwell 3

Trying to update XIV for the free weekend thing but looks like I'll waste most of the free time with the update process ... lol

I want my next PC to be super quiet. I wonder if I should go for those low power, low TDM chips that AMD and Intel make along with custom loop with large *** radiators and slow(er) moving fans. Maybe even a fanless PSU and noise dampening case :o

Yep... I might forgo the custom loop thing and just look for relatively quiet closed loop ones.
Last nights T9 was a hassle.
Being a Taru sucks for those line markers while stacked. I couldn't see myself and you don't actually get a debuff when targeted for it just that line connecting to you.
Thunder I thought would follow suit and be a thing over my head so while looking there it was a debuff -_-;
Ended up with the camera looking straight down on myself while constantly watching the debuff bar. It worked but damn Tarus have it tough in stacked up watch yourself situations.

When someone says 12 AM on a day, I think of it as when it first changed to that day, so tonight at 12 AM would be Saturday, not 12:01 AM...

Just log in and it should start downloading patches. I'll end using the whole Friday (and maybe a good chunk of Saturday) downloading the whole game (I kept the 1.0 data from the few months I played back then in early 2013) and while it save me some download time I still have to download all up to 2.5... Without the 1.0 data I would have maybe 15GB to download (a fresh install goes to that ammount, right ?).
