Idk much about oils,I was recommended this, and use it when grilling all my chicken/turkey/steak
in 100ml it has:

Quote:
520 calories
Carbs: 0.2g
Fat: 54.2g

vs...

PAM Olive Oil Cooking Spray (100 ml)

Quote:
Calories 840.54
Total Fat 93.66g

vs...

Crisco Cooking Spray Oil (100 ml)

Quote:
Calories 862.39
Total Fat 95.82g

Some of the healthiest olive oil sprays:

Manischewitz Cooking Spray, Olive Oil
Trader Joe's Extra Virgin Italian Olive Oil Spray

couldn't find any calculations for them though, but they are both minimally processed, and have 100% olive oil with only a propellant added.

so it looks like you picked a good one, possibly. Also remember that real olive oil is a healthy fat, and has a lot of other benefits to go along with it.

Also, normal Extra Virgin Olive Oil (100ml):

Calories 852.11
Total Fat 94.68g
Saturated Fat 13.26g

Sunflower Oil (100ml):

That's not too bad so long as that is potato on top... is it?

it's hard to tell but they could be either thinly sliced potato (referred to them as chip slices in previous post) or they could actually be what you americans call chips (crisps in my previous post)

i think olive oil is over used. it's good, and not as bad for you, but it's got a distinct taste that i like to keep out of a lot of thing. sunflower or canola oil are what i usually use.

definitely, each oil has their place, but if you're looking for just one olive oil is a good choice I think.

I use it heaps because it's good for me. I guess I don't have a very distinguished palette because I often don't taste it

It isnt a blanket thing. While it's good for you in alot of ways, there are still negative effects from having too much

quote taken from a nutritionist article i was reading a few days ago actually

“But just because olive oil is healthy for you doesn’t mean you should use it in unlimited quantities.”

Olive oil has 120 calories per tablespoon, which people tend to forget when drizzling it over salads or dabbing it with a chunk of bread. “We feel like if something’s healthy we should just pour it on, but that could turn your 50-calorie salad into a 350-calorie salad, and that’s no good,”

tl;dr

The overall point of the entire article though, shouldnt use more than 2 tablespoons of it a day, even less if possible

Personally, I prefer my olive oil to be as slutty as possible.

I use grapeseed/sesame seed/safflower seed oils for hot temps, depending on what I'm cooking. Canola/safflower for baking. Almost always use olive oil on lower temp cooking.

I like coconut oil, personally. But it just doesn't work for everything, so I keep olive oil on hand too.

But you can use coconut oil for other things too though. You can spread it on a warm piece of toast like butter (just use it really sparingly.) You can rub it on freshly-shaved legs as a better-than-lotion moisturizer (but again, sparingly, and then put on long pants because your dogs will try to lick it off. Ew.) You can put it in your hair for twenty or thirty minutes before you hop in the shower and shampoo for a nice hair mask. You can rub it on your feet (after scrubbing them raw) and then put socks on and go to bed, and in the morning you will have soft and pretty toes. Eh.
