Aethling Mantle Vs. Cuch

How often would you use Atheling (whoops, spelt wrong in title) over Cuch? For some reason I think every answer is gonna be 'every sitution' at least in a abyssea. Just wondering.

always! cuch was borderline good before because there were more situations in which your accuracy wasn't capped. now however with furtherances/new gear/atma etc etc, accuracy is MUCH easier to cap on almost anything. that and atheling is awesome

For jobs other then NIN? fulltime, abyssea or not!
For NIN, Iga back may be a better option outside of abyssea, situational blah blah.
EDIT: beside for a bravura WAR using belenos mantle for his X-hit, ofc

Atheling always unless your accuracy is terrrrrible.

In which case you're fighting Indrik or you need to quit.

Cuch is still best all round for blu spells, no idea about ws's for other jobs, but atheling wins out pretty much everywhere else.

Cuchulain's Mantle remains useful when using weapons with lower skill ratings:

Monk, Red Mage, Dark Knight, Beastmaster, Samurai, Ninja, Dragoon, or Thief using Club.
Thief, Samurai, Dragoon, Dancer, or Beastmaster using Sword.
Paladin using Polearm.
Ninja using Great Katana.
Bard ... using anything.


Just a few examples.

I think it's safe to say Atheling Mantle is preferable when using your A and B class weapons, though.
