"Pop" item: Karbuncle's Ruby. Obtained from a line of Quests called "A New Prophecy". Starts in Empyreal Paradox, You'll get a Cutscene where a Mysterious person asks you to obtain a "Promathia's Tear", a Dark item found only in the Depth of the Tu'Lia. To get to this area you need to activate all Ebon pannels, this will activate a portal which brings you to the deepest basement of Hu'Xzoi, where you will find the tear. Bring the Tear back to the Empyreal Paradox. It will trigger a Cutscene where the Mysterious figure will reveal the tear is required to revive his "Dark Lord". He'll drop a "Karbuncle's Ruby" and warp away. Click the Crystal for a Cutscene where you'll see the stranger Who identifies himself as one of Promathia's prophets. After the Cutscene click the Crystal again to enter "Prophets of Promathia" BCNM. "Karbuncle's Ruby" will be lost upon entering. Starts the fight against: Karbuncle(85,000HP) Karbuncle, a Fomor Mithra THF/WAR job. Uses Standard Dagger Weaponskills including Relic/Mythic/Empyrean and has enhanced TP Gain rate and Melee speed. Each Hit has a chance to inflict a random status ailment. Can use Despoil throughout the fight which will randomly "Steal" a armor slot (Simply dequips it and gives you ecumberance) and inflict a random ailment from Slow/Paralyze/Mag.def-down/etc/etc and rarely Doom. (10 second counter). Uses Perfect Dodge/Mighty Strikes every 10% HP. During Mighty Strikes gains a ~50% MAB and can then use Aeolian Edge. Will use Blood Rage followed by Evisceration randomly throughout the fight. Has a permanent "Retaliation" effect as well. During the Fight it may also use "Sneak Attack". When it Sneak attacks it will vanish and appear behind a random player and use a Weaponskill. at 70% It'll Perfect Dodge and vanish, in its place will spawn "Darkmessenger" and "Sanity". *Darkmessenger(30,000HP)Hume Fomor: Darkmessenger is a RDM/NIN, Dual wields. has access to all Teir V Nukes and -Ja Spells. Has a random powerful elemental En-spell on melee hits including light/dark. Above 50% HP he will only cast Teir IV Spells and Teir III-agas, and several Single Target high level Debuffs. Has access to all Sword Weaponskills including a unique one used under 50% called "Dark Messiah". Long charge time. Its a Magical AoE that deals 800~1,000 dmg and inflicts Bio(15hp/tic), Poison(15hp/tic), Drown(10hp/tic), and Curse(50%HP/MP). @ 50% it uses Chainspell and gains access to Teir V nukes and -JA spells, as well as AoE Debuffs including Addle, Break, and Stun. *Sanity(25,000HP) Mithra Fomor: Sanity is a SMN/DRG type, wields a Polearm. Spawns with a Carbuncle and a Wyvern(Battle Muffin). Above 50% Fights with pets, Carbuncle can use Meteorite, healing Ruby II (up to ~1,500 HP) and Holy Mist (Can deal up to 1,200 DMG). The Wyvern will use Healing breath each time Sanity melee's instead of a DD breath, Healing Breath can recover Sanity or Darkmessenger for up to 2,000HP. at 50% She'll use Astral flow and summon one of Each Avatar. They will perform their individual Buffs (Titan-Stoneskin, Garuda-haste, Etc) and then Astral flow. (gives time for sac to diaga). She has access to all Polearm skills including a unique one called "Sanity's Requiem", a Single target 5-hit Attack that can deal up to 2,00 DMG, inflicts Amnesia, Blind, Silence, and Curse(takes 25%HP/MP). Once both are defeated Karbuncle respawns @ 70% with Perfect Dodge activated, it will not melee for ~10 Seconds, Engage a random member and use Aeolian Edge (Ranged WS for Her, 20'), then Perfect Dodge will wear and battle can continue as normal. She has no special abilities during this time that differ from the above. At 30% She will use Perfect Dodge again and Despawn, in her place will spawn "Trouge" and "Kiichi" *Trouge(35,000)Galka Fomor: Trouge is a MNK/BLU and has access to all h2h Weaponskills and Blue magic spells. Can use Chakra for up to 2,000 HP, and Chi Blast which inflicts Inhibit TP and can deal up to 300 DMG. Above 50% he uses mostly Asuran Fists/Ascetic's Fury and casts Mostly Blue magic Debuff spells (This includes spells like Mysterious Light which Gravity). at 75% he'll use Impetus and Hundred Fists and reset hate on current target. at 25% He'll use azure lore and cast 10,000 Needles. Long casting time and it can be stunned, if it is Stunned he will follow up with 4,000 Needles, which is unstunnable. After that he will attempt to cast high level physical blue magic spells. *Kiich(15,000HP)Mithra Fomor: Kiichi is a WHM/SCH and has access to All Cure spells, Buffs/etc and all Teir V nukes. Can use SCH Abilities to enhance the spells she casts. She switches between Dark arts and Light arts every 1 Minute(s). During Dark arts shell will use Manifestation and Teir V nukes, Drain, Aspir, and occasionally Debuffs. During light arts she will gain a reduced casting timer and use Cure VI/Banish IV/Banishga III/Holy II, Oc. will Accession(?) Buffs like Stoneskin/Phalanx/Protect/etc. at 75% will use Tabula Rasa and will use freely Light or Dark magic spells, but also gain access to Meteor. (Weak meteor, doing max of ~1,500 Damage unbuffed). Will Chainspell Cure spells during this time. at 25% it will Benediction. When both Kiichi and Trouge are defeated (good luck!) Karbuncle will respawn at 30% with Perfect Dodge Active. she will engage a random person and use an enhanced version of Aeolian Edge called "Cyclonic Void". This will do up to ~1,000 DMG and inflict a potent Choke (50hp/tic). After using this Perfect Dodge will wear and fight will progress. During this Percentile She can use Cyclonic Void at will, and also gains access to Trick Attack, Which she will use and Summon a random friend (Darkmessenger/etc) infront of her and follow it up with a random Weaponskill. Can be particularly dangerous if stacked with Rudra's Storm or the like. the Summoned "Friend" will also use 1 Unique Ability before disappearing: =Darkmessenger: Will Cast Slowga II =Kiichi: Will Cure VI Karbuncle =Sanity: Will Cast a unique buff "Sanity's harmony" Which will give Karbuncle a potent Regain/Protect/Shell Effect. Pro/shell can be dispelled, the Regain cannot. -Trouge: Wil cast Cocoon on Karbuncle. will also be able to use Collaborator, which instead of taking Enmity or something lame, will summon a Weaker clone of herself (2,000HP) that can be dispatched quickly but still has dangerous TP moves. Or Accomplice which can summon 2 clones, same HP/abilities as Collaborator Clone. I thought about typing out the Dialogue to the cutscenes but decided that would be toooo long. Asura.Dameshi said: You have inspired me Karbuncle. Now I feel like creating me as an NM :P I agree so having some fun here... 6 man BCNM style fight... some questline im too lazy to make up NM Ina -60k hp (outside abyssea that sounds like a good ammount) -Very high evasion and attack speed with high crit rate and acc -Low defence and medium attack scores -Uses higher teir katana WS, GKT ws (renamed as "Blade: -") along with shark bite and eviseration. If kept at range will use sidewinder or arching arrow that ignores shadows every 10 seconds with RAs inbetween. Will not close distance after 50% like most mobs -Casts kurayami, hojo and jabuku san being the same as ni/ichis but as AoE -Every 10% hp will cast utsusemi: san causing nm to disappear and 5 weaker versions with 5k hp each. What ever type of damage is used to dispatch them mainly the next batch will have a high risistance to (think the guy from final ToAU fight). Each clone will have similar damage capabilitys to main NM however much lower evasion and normal acc and crit rates. -Each 20% she will use one of meikyo shisui, EES, astral flow or hundred fists in a random order after the utsusemi clones are delt with. -Meikyo shisui WS will get increaced range and chain to gether to make some unique SC effect -EES will ignore shadows but rather then be as devistating will inflict 4 random status effects from all possible effects minus stat drains and death (though doom still a possibility) -Astral flow will cause her to summon fenrir and activate Innin which will render her untargetable and invisible and flip her current hate status until fenrir is defeated (there will be no 2 hour comming out of fenrir because since when do we use that on astral flow XD) or activate Yonin in which case fenrir will be untargetable and remain active untill the next 20% mark -Hundred fists will instead activate on all 5 clones rather then the NM itself (ZERG EM QUICK :P) -At 10% she will (insert description of drg jump animation here) to who ever is lowest on the hate list and use a single target mijin gakure then RR to 50%. From there at 40% (and every 10% after) will make some refrence to running out of utsu tools and attempt to pop a tool bag which will be stunable, if she manages to get it off clones will be summoned every 5% -Gives up at the last 10% Fight is repeatable but reward can only be chosen once untill condition for a second much more difficult fight are reached. Choices are... -Shinobi belt - 7% Haste all jobs (hidden effect) allows the use of yonin when nin is set to sub job -Shinobi ear peice(shinobis earring already exists) - Store TP+10, Enhances dual wield effect (5%) (Hidden effect)enhance SC damage if corisponding ninjitsu is active on mob (huton hyoton etc) all jobs -Shinobi bow (insert what decent bow stats at 99 will be here) hidden effect ignores all enemy protections (stoneskin blink etc) and dispels 1 effect when striking all jobs with any archery skill -Ina's ring - +100 mp enhances fast cast (5% casting time and recast)Avatar perp -2 (hidden effect) allows fenrir to be summoned (equivilent of lv80 in terms of power but higher hp... buffs and distraction anyone? :P) -Training - chose katana, GKT, dagger, archery, H2H, evasion, summoning magic or ninjitsu and receve +10 permanent Well theres a wall o text for ya... i'm deffinetly not that buff in the game but i think it would make a pritty kick *** fight, note that this would be intended for lv 99, hp on main nm would be kinda low but the clones should make up for it. Considered putting allowing innin on the earring reward but remembered that it would make blms epicly broken since the 30% damage boost applys to all magic not just ninjitsu. To finish it off, i appologize for miss spells and gramatical errors. Have a plesent day Weed.
