i've been downloading all day on and off, the 2nd portion of the DL reached 92% and got an error code which i forget, hit retry and xbox froze during preparing update info.
the most recent code i got was POL:1165 D:ROM/168/47.DAT.
has anyone else recieved similar message.
or freezing during download?
before replying don't be smart *** and say get pc version lol.

I was having the same issue before just keep trying.
I have no advice but I know a few folks on Xbox having this same issue,
even freezing periodically once in game and having to restart.
A pal of mine was damn near furious trying to play on his day off
and freezing up a bunch.
You're not alone so probably expect some emergency maintenance...

i had the same problem xbox getting frozen but now its working just fine
its just HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE i got to 2nd portion again and downloaded 3 files then again the pol error just different DAT. im almost 100% its congestion, but its just ridiculous considering i have been trying since 10am to get on, lots of on and off breaks thinking maybe congestion died down but meh who knows what the real issue is. all i know is S/E and POL sure know how to piss people off lol.
well i had that same problem but right now everything is ok and im at 96% almost done i think it has to be the connection cuz i was lossing the signal this afternoon but now everything is fine

dnt worry i waited 4-5hrs till it got to 99% and then i got the ????ing error

Didn't freeze once during the old coots fighting each other, waited till I was done and about to exit rulude.
i froze 3 times in jeuno and 1 in gustaberg
Just logged in again, nothing has happened yet but I got some message saying an error occurred
seems fine for me as long as i dont stay in jeuno for too long. gives me just enough time to get more stones and warp back out, have to find a new place to lfp till it gets fixed though.

i guess too much ppl in zones, i froze in rulude gardens, would say because many ppl did LB/sack and playing around with jobemote. Just shut the whole thing down and hope will be better this evening.
The problem may have the same root that causes besieged to hang, so maybe we have just wait a few, until things calm down.

Ive heard of reinstalls fixing other issues like this. Im not sure i wanna go that route seeing as i have disc issues sometimes from freezing and d/cing.
Guess waiting is our only option. Tried digging out the old ps2 for this one and even that isnt going well lol

ive been playing this game since the dawn of time it seems. played in on every system available. and yesterdays download was the worst download EVER. normally my downloads take 5 mins - 1 hour depending on size. last night s took 10 hours and error out multipal times. i finally wentto bed at midnight with 300 files remaing and 2 more systems to update.

My Xbox has been freezing on a regular basis, usually after spending a few hours in abyssea, but since the update it is also freezing in Jeuno sometimes after only being on for a couple of minutes.
It's pretty frustrating, i hope they can fix it soon if at all.
P.s. And yay for 7 hour update \o/ .... NOT!
