Does anyone know where they're form? Need 15 of them to upgrade elemental weapons.
Goblin in terrigan dropped me a shadow geode on darksday, so I speculate mobs around that level will drop on geodes of the day they were killed on.
Edit: also got a breeze geode when wind weather popped.

Drop rate seems to be pretty terrible tho. I agree. The stones that drop seem to be dependant on the current weather/day of the week.
Weather seems to take priority over the day of the week. So dont expect stones of the day if the weather is something else. Unless someone says otherwise. So far my testing hasnt shown me this but its too early to tell yet.

Agreed. Weather for some reason has been taken priority over the day of the week. Been killing ladybugs in Jugner and ive gotten like 5 lightning geo's vs. 1 earth from the day.

been getting breeze geode from lesser colibri out side al zahbi during wind weather.
Been killing mandies in the tree for my knew GK trial and i have come across alot of stones up to 11 so far.

Weather/double weather takes precedence over what the elemental day is. (possibly)
Trial weapon doesnt need to be equipped I assume you hand them to a box like we do with af3 seals, then trade the weapon once all geodes are handed in.
Mob has to give exp ie be ep or higher
Means you can do trial on any job and undertake several different element trials at once or not start any at all until you have founded enough geodes to complete it instantly.

I've killed 60'ish Biddybugs for my club trial and I got 5 thunder geo's. It was generally thunder weather, I would assume the drop rate on a single weather to be generally around 10%
Just got out of a party in Abyssea - Mis Coast. The were dropping 1/20-15. Same element as day. As other people have said, it also drops according to weather. (Friend doing trials got a bunch of Breeze on Iceday w/ wind weather.)
Not sure whether day or weather has prio. Seem fairly easy to obtain though - several on our AH already.

Mostly elemental trails.. Like DEX,STR,VIT+ ***.. etc..
Weather has priority over day. I was fighting on Firesday but would only get Snow Geodes when Ice weather popped. When it went away, I got the Fire Geode.

Drops from regular mobs and can be bought at ah? Really? How do you start from killing 100 mobs only during the few minutes that weather pops up and have this be the latest trial?
I can confirm that whilst I was killing arcana in romeave last night for my dagger trial thunder geodes dropped on thunder weather only, I never did get a same day Geode the drop rate must be poor, considering I was on thf and getting up to TH +5 when attacking mobs (since it now tells you if it activates now) it seems drop rate is around 10% ish maybe slightly less. I now have 4 geodes from roughly 45 mins of WS killing....
can not full confirm this but: on just the days it seems to be huge dowpdown in geode drops than with weather. got 4 geode's on 1 fire weather. and not thf sub.

Mob lvl does not seem to effect drop rates either, I have killed killing weapons through to infernal weapons in ro'meave and infernals/apocalyptic did not seem to favour a better drop rate.
I did get a drop from a doll also but not had one yet from a statue... (will kill some tonight to see)

These geodes can drop from normal Abyssea mobs too, including "old" Abyssea zones like Kon-Highlands.
EXP alliance vs. Shadow Lizards produced Thunder Geodes on Lightningsday, and then Light Geodes when the day changed to Lightsday. Drop rate wasn't spectacular, but not awful, either.
