1. Will there be a "New Items" link/page for items introduced in today's version update?
2. Does anyone know if there will be a "speedy" way to download the update files (without using the crazy-slow/congested POL servers), like Krizz found when Visions of Abyssea was released months ago?

1. Probably they always tend to do it... when it will be out who knows. Actually the pages for the old updates "new items" still exist if you can find them.

the updates arnt that hard to save. the main problem is getting the update from the aforementioned crazy-slow/congested POL servers in the first place ;;

Once Scragg's computer or the server or something like that does the update, it'll automatically list every new item in the dats on a new page, and create a "yellow box" link to it just under the donations button on the left.
It's generally not instant, but will usually be up within 24 hours.

Oh yeah, durr. It's painfully clear now that I look at it again. Must be the added caffeine.
I just wish the new items would show up during power search and browse. None of the new items added in this last year of updates show up in browse.

Hey guys how long is this update supposed to take? i looked for it everywhere and couldnt find a direct time, any ideas anyone? id like to play before work haha
Once I'm able to download the update, I'll post it on my site like usual. POL says it'll be 151MB.

The last abyssea update was 153MB, if what I'm looking at is right.
