XBox shutting down randomly for no reason
It's annoying, and to date it's eaten up roughly 10 of my stones. That is all.

Go go crapbox. Mine has never just shut down, but it freezes a LOT in abyssea, dyna and besieged. As soon as one xboxer in the ally goes, we know all of the xboxers are going to. It blows.

Its shutting down most likely because its over heating and trying to save itself from bursting into a fiery ball of melted plastic. Can you not turn it back on to log out of abysea when you have these issues? :/

Most likely overheating constantly like mine was, maybe? Solution...in my case anyway
Let it 'cool down' for about a week or so so that it can turn on for a good while without shutting down....go to gamestop, sell that ***with credit towards a new Xbox. Get your 100 dollars credit and gtfo before it explodes on the counter.

the xbox 360 is nothing but fail and especially for ffxi, you want to do besieged? too bad, mine won't even turn on properly anymore without the intercooler (start up the chopper) and I can't even play through 1 game of halo wars typically without it dying, it's sad. Oh and it's done it since microsoft sent it to me since the other I had died, and talked to cs about it, they said "the cpu is dead...) i'm like yeah...it's the cpu.

I can't wait for the rrod, and no they don't "cause" it, the rrod is caused by a defect in the design of the xbox 360, doesn't have anything to do with an external device, and the fan doesn't take anywhere near that much power.

what kind of program/hookup do you need to play on computer with controller? i have ffxi for both xbox and computer but play xbox because well its just easier with a controller
I use xbox controller on PC, just a simple 5 min config. Worth it^^
The old 360 doesn't just shutdown unless there's an issue with it. the new 360, however, does shutdown due to overheating, forcibly I might add.

ffxi config, just sayin' click on the button that says "gamepad config"
