As much as I hate to admit I admire Sarah Palin. She's certainly not qualified to be president at this time but from reading about her back story and just the different areas of industry she worked in makes me not want to count her out just yet.

I think both words would be appropriate.
if he would have did the "inb4 Queue of shorter show than term as governor" it would have sounded better.
but past that in this conversational setting it be fine yo :P
