and what happened with C. sonnen i thouhgt he was next in line for the middle weight belt? after pretty much destroying silva for 4.5 rounds,

Joe Silva will most likely pit Sonnen against another top contender in the middle weight division before allowing him another shot at Silva. This is the same thing he did with Nate 'The Great' Marcourt (apologize for spelling).

It should be interesting however that Okami or w/e his name was that won by decision lastnight against Nate 'The Great' was also Silva's last loss.
