Anyone else had this issue that plays on xbox? I had hoped that Besieged would be my only torment. Now I freeze up at least twice in a party in Abyssea. Should I throw my xbox out the window? Is there anyway tricks to fix this? SMH

time for a ps3 homie, however u cant play ffxi on slim models, since it cant read ps2 games, unless you get the ps3 older models

Atleast here in norway you need the very first PS3 60gb model to play ps2/1 games, none after that plays them here <_>

Yeah, they no longer sell any of the older models anymore that have backwards compatibility, iirc. So don't be surprised if people are asking for ridiculous prices on eBay.

When I played on Xbox I would freeze sometimes in Besieged and also on Dynamis lord, never in abyssea though. Here's how to clear Cache:
go go google.

no it's the xbox, try to talk to the support and they'll say it's your cpu, and you have to get it fixed, I've played this game on 3 different xbox's and none of them lasts through besieged. The system is crap, play on something else or don't do abyssea/besieged/(and probably campaign(lol) as well).

why? it's 10x better than a failbox, then either get a ps2, or a 60gb ps3 (with full backwards compatibility) and go there, the failbox is junk.

Thanks. I have not had a freezing issue since I did the cashe thing, but only time will tell!

My xbox also freezes, for besieged I just judge when I have to face a wall until it ends. For dyna lord I log out and back in quickly before we go up to the castle and it resets all the data stored in the zone, which I read is why xboxs freeze because it can't handle the amount of data that FFXI stores while you stay in one zone, so it crashes to protect itself or something.

I can freeze in an abyssea pt too if I been in a party for like 8+ hours, not good when im trying to get my smn feet to drop ; ;

the thing will freeze no matter what you do, it's only a matter of time, I've been able to get through maybe 2-3 lvl 8 besieged with the xbox but it soon froze up after, it's just sad. Poor quality control by Microsoft.
