For the fame in Abyssea are the areas connected like the cities? Or do u need to build up the fame in each area?

I believe it's a cumulative fame count. Although, i have yet to gain much fame from what my ls mates seem to be doing it is.

No You must build fame in each area...
ex. I have max fame for L plateau [A] but still had to build fame in other areas to get access to their qst.
