I am currently in a Abyssea Alliance on my 60 DRK and I am not getting any experience points from Mob deaths....

Did SE change XP on lower jobs or is something I am not aware of going on?

there has always been a gap in exp gained between highest level player and lowest... ALWAYS....

Yea but I am getting 0 XP per kill I just get Curor. Do I just have to build up light?

yes in about an hour or 2 once your lights are built up you will start getting exp. It has always been like this for lower level jobs in abyssea.
