There Is An FFXI Section On Reddit

Discuss? Well this is the first time I've heard of reddit so I'm not going to be very useful here.

Never heard of it either, though I thought it's funny there's a thread asking where the good forums are.

Reddit is one of those newfangled community-driven news aggregator sites. You submit a link, other people look at it and if they like it they upvote it, if they don't it gets downvoted. Get enough upvotes and your link makes it to the main page for the category [ie: section or "subreddit"] or even the main page of the Reddit.

Of any of the many similar sites Reddit seems to have the strongest, most cohesive community around, which is quite impressive.

TL;DR It's the one with the alien icon/mascot.

I wasn't aware that this /r existed. I've even searched the site (not that the damn search bar works).

Hell, there almost seems to be an anti-mmo attitude there, so I'm rather surprised. It's too bad that there aren't more posts/readers.

Yeah, there seems to be about a post per month at most. Must be too late in the game's life to start in with any newfangled websites and such.

Nuts to the reddit search box though, if I'm looking for a subreddit I just go straight to http://reddit.com/r/catswithfunnyhats and chances are it exists. :P
