EXP LOSS

Well, I have a question...about exp loss.

If you K.O.'d and lose only max 2,400 exp at Lv80 on any job, but nothing more than 2,400? Because some LS members and I got into this crazy heat discussion, this person confirmed he loses 4,000 when he died. If you wait too long to return to Home Point, you lose more than 2,400 exp? Is this true? And if you died inside Abyssea and lose more than 2,400 exp per 10 mins or whatever? Even they said they lose more than 2,400 exp when they died. I tested myself and died on RDM80 and lose only 2,400 exp.

I don't know if they changed it from 75-80... but going from 2.4k-4k in only 5 lvls is kinda rediculous.

And I have died enough times I can say even if it is higher it is not as much as 4k.

And nothing increases xp loss (other than lvl I suppose) just things that lower like raise or mogenhancement or the Key items in abyssea.

What probably happened I'd say is he died RR too quick immediately got pwned and homepointed

Personally, I remember 75 being 2400 when the exp to get there was higher then 10%/8%, But maybe they added a new % for over 75? Like 7 or 6%. -Shrugs- If you died and only lost 2400, then they are lying or you are.

Well, a few of us got kicked out of LS because they refused to believe it's capped at 2,400 exp no matter what. I think it's really ridiculous.

I died like 40 minutes ago and lost 2,450 exp, with bronze bed in my mog... Guess it's not capped at 2.4

2,400. I've died enough on Beastmaster to know that, no matter how long you let your corpse stink up the area, or how far your Home point is from death spot, you never lose more than 2,400XP.


The one time this would be "Technically" right (And the use of that term is more loose than Lisa Lamponeli) is if they died, and you killed 3 or so Abyssea mobs at max Chain.

I've heard other reports of random 4k exp loss in Abyssea, though I'm pretty sure my losses haven't been that significant... Don't be so quick to dismiss it if you haven't kept an eye on exp loss *in* Abyssea.

That said, members kicked for that ***? lol. I'll admit I get a lot of leeway sometimes, but I've remained in good standing in some linkshells where I've gotten into very heated (and very nerdy >_>) arguments.

Oh really? I will watch more carefully if i die inside Abyssea, but i spent many hours. I never lose more than 2,400. I don't know really. ;/

It all seemed to be more or less a one-off thing, but it's always the same number so I'm inclined to give them some credence. Never experienced it myself (that I've actually noticed) though.

If there is a consistent one-off number of 4k, is it possible that the xp loss is tied to having signet?

well there are abysite or w/e that you can get to decrease xp loss, so there may be some situations in abyssea that we haven't noticed where greater xp loss is possible? im not sure, but will definitely keep an eye on xp when i die there now. but i will say any times i've died so far in there i did not lost 4k. i have usually have capped xp there so i would notice it 4k lower:)

Ok, I know for sure. There is no way to lose more than 2.4k exp inside Abyssea because I've been inside abyssea for 4 hours and still lose the same exp loss.
