It's sad how quickly Americans will rush in to defend themselves with their rights to Free Speech and Assembly ... and yet how quickly they'll forget the First Amendment also prohibits impeding the Free practice of religion.

Enjoy. (6.5 minute clip)

Sadly half the time people rush to the first ammendent to protect what they say it turns out what they were saying/doing actually is prohibitted. Most people don't seem to understand you can't say anything you want cause of it lol

First Amendment? There hasn't been a First Amendment since the '60s.

They say you can say whatever the *** you want but you'll offend everyone else.

You can't say *** on tv if you're white, you can't say you gonna buss a cap in someone's *** if you're black, you can't say you inhaled the weed smoke if youre a president.

If there weren't so many by-laws and loopholes prohibiting people from saying what they want, First Amendment might actually work.

If everyone stopped being such big overly sensitive pussyfooters, this country wouldn't be frowned upon by the rest of the world as a nation full of pussies.

America's hyper-nationalism is getting truly scary and the reaction to this issue is a perfect example. Thanks for posting.

I'm amazed that the ones who are typically the most gun-waving, chest-thumping, "bring it on" patriotic type people are the first ones who run screaming and crying that the scary Mooslims are going to get them, and want the government to interfere and stop it.

I thought it was the "pussy" liberals who were supposed to burst into tears about "sensibilities" and being "offended" at the drop of a hat.

Make up your damn minds.

He does not make me laugh much (more than Colbert because he just sucks), but I enjoy watching him.

They are both clever sometimes, I don't watch them often, but they can be funny.

What makes me nervous, some people tend to truthfully believe their opinions and reasoning. They are fairly obviously both playing the roles of the extremes to be funny, so when people turn to them for actual news or opinions, it tends to scare me.

EDIT: Which I'd like to think doesn't happen, but I've met people who do.

I have a perfect solution to all of this... build the Muslim cultural center, for one because it is their right to have it, secondly why not build a huge religious cultural center encompassing all, and for all major religions to enjoy. Build one for Christians, for Catholics, for Muslims and for Jews.

I wanted to say though. that i am catholic, and one of my best friends is muslim. i have a wife and two kids and so does he. im 31 and he is 29 so we are really close in age. We were in respiratory therapy clinicals together. and became very good friends.. you would never meet a better guy than him. we learned alot from one another too... and one of the most important things i learned was that both religions are very very similar.
the only thing we differ in is prophets. and as a catholic we believe that the messiah has already come. the basic philosophy of both religions is very similar and they regard jesus as a very great man and prophet and respect him. they just hold their Mohammad in higher respect.

I dont think persecution has gotten to the point of where christians and jews have been, for muslims. least not in america. all religions have been persecuted around the world. most americans will agree that muslims along with many other religions died in the world trade center too. and that muslims are welcomed in america along with other religions. the problem is the media portrays this hillbilly intolerance and tries to stir up debate and problems within our society. most americans are simply scared because they worry bout extremist attacks so they generalize it to the whole religion. also they are scared because most americans dont understand islam. unless they pick up a book. and i will repeat again because most americans dont pick up books, that they dont understand islam!

I would say that if the Muslims as a whole allowed their women to be scantily clad without persecution, their entire livelihood would become so much more tolerable.
