Some Items Flicker?

Hello, I use Windows 7 ASUS Notebook G72GX series
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo P8700 @2.53GHz 6.00GB ram
64 bit system, Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M
Problem is when i go into some areas i notice some items tend to flicker when i change camera angles its not as noticeable i havent a clue what is going on? is there anyway to fix this?

Like you have a beastly computer compared to most people.
My computer is pretty good too.
So you walk around, and you see white flashes for a split second when panning your camera around?
little whiteness in the terrain/other details etc etc?

That's not even close to being 'beastly'.. It's decent, but not even close to being above average.

OP, How old is your video card? When video cards start to go out, they produce a lot of artifact-ing, which could explain the troubles you're having..

If you have the ability and means, I'd try to borrow a friends video card and switch it out with your own and see if the problem goes away.

i have a pretty good comp and vid card and i see this some times also.....it's due to being an older game. you could try up dating you vid card to see if the helps you at all also changing the back ground res of the game tends to help alot

he has a GTX 260m.... at most its 2 years old, and more than enough to support FFXI on computer
and Like i said. Its beastly compared to most people.
and he probably can't take teh graphics card out cuz its integrated in his laptop.

Its more my Terran or the environment is fine its just that some of the items flicker like black an flicker back to the color its originally

Well if his PC is beastly, mine is self aware.

I never said my pc was beastly i was just saying what it was in hope it might resolve the problem, in response to how long it last for it doesnt appear to stop in some areas example, my sorc pestos looks fine but from the side in the middle of the hat you see a small black flicker on some people there hand gear ect

you change any .dat files?
~Check your nvidia graphic settings
check ur game config settings
worst case scenario...if you realllly want to try to fix this
might need to do a game file check through pol, or...reinstall the game and see if that helps.
If all else fails contact SE tech support...but most likely your graphics card isn't supported since its a mobile.
