Server Transfer Question

I have recently started meandering around FFXI again, after a very long Hiatus, Like before Treasures long... All of the people that i knew in game before the Mass exodus to WOW are no longer playing, and Gilgamesh seems to be completely French now. It is torture to try and find any groups for exp parties much less missions or anything else.

So server transfer came to mind. And I have looked through the lists here on FFXIAH read through some forums, I just can't seem to get a good grasp on the community situations on any particular servers.

So i put it to you, I am not looking for some endgame LS to hand out relics. I don't even have a level 50 Job yet. I just want a server where it will be possible for me to level up, As I haven't had a group in days. Friendly community would be great, though i think it couldn't possibly be worse than Wow's community. What are some of your suggestions?

I know of a really good social ls if you decide on Unicorn. If not, good luck wherever you end up. :)

How active is Unicorn? and what are the normal Peak hours?

peak hours on unicorn are from 6PM to 9PM eastern time usualy around 2500-3000 folks

That is the right amount of people, but peak hours wouldn't work for me.

I was considering Asura, but being the biggest isn't always a good thing.

I rather enjoy Unicorn, I came from Bahamut.

I went Siren >> Bahamut >> Unicorn >> Siren :P

I liked Unicorn I just missed home. Was talked into Unicorn by friends. Was too small for me. I found some awesome friends though. The server isn't too dramatic it's rather nice.

If you do go to Unicorn find a guy named Jayrayith and see if his social still isn't there :) I loved that ls a lot.

Hey Mia, how long were you on Bahamut? Ever run with someone named Carmela?

I was there maybe...3-6 months. Was talked to Unicorn by Reaujan.

I went back to Miayoko which has been my name on Siren and Uni :P

I have only been playing a year and a half or so. My fiance has been playing for about 4 years. He was in TheReturners there.

I wouldn't mind server hopping to see which server i enjoyed more. If the cooldown was less than 90 days....

Ah, I'm an 05 on player here moved to Baha in...Nov of 08 iirc...went to Uni March of 09 came back to Siren March of 10 :p

I started playing in Oct 08 I think. Always kept the same name so far, but my fiancé went from Carmela to Carm on Uni.

My mom *its not a joke like most think* went from Sayomi to Meewee lol shes so damn proud of that name :|

to OP, Don't come to leviathan unless you want to be drown in Remora + Leviathan egos, plus a huge JP population.

I will probably stick around on Gilga a little while, XIV comes out in a few months. I don't know if XI will hold interest over that.

Odin is nice, I like everyone here. (I've never actually been off Odin, so I might not be the most fabulous one to ask, but still.) It's a nice home. It's large, so there's lots of people to meet. There's a wide variety of ethnic backgrounds. I've met people from EU, NA, JP, French people, Aussie people, um.... lots of others that I can't remember off the top. You'll for sure be able to find someone in your play time. ^^
