Hey, folks, I might be getting a job in Korea in the near future and I'm considering buying a laptop for it and such... before I get too much further, can anyone tell me if playing FFXI from Korea is going to be a problem. I've got a linkshell to lead, and while I can overcome the differences in time zones, I don't know if there are issues playing from there.
Anyone with experience who can help me out?

To OP: I lived in Pusan, and played FFXI and Battlefield 2 on US servers, had no problem. You wont either.

I was stationed in Korea for a year and a half and I had no problem playing FF....but spent most of my time drinking downtown.

Well, thank you for the response, everyone. I got a PM from someone who said they knew someone who used a VPN, but I'd rather avoid that if it's not necessary. Well, if Shinbi is a Korean national (yes, SOUTH Korea, didn't figure that needed clarifying!) who can play, then I won't let that bother me.
Guess I'll need a laptop, though, I can't lug my desktop over there, that's for sure.
Oh, and yes, the job would most likely be in Seoul assuming I get it and go with it instead of a domestic job.

I've been to Korea three times, and will be going again soon. I've played FFXI on two of the trips.
i play FF11 on labtop can play anywhere in the world.
