How hard does the darkness damage hit?

ive only done campaign after getting it today, highest was 27. Need to test it moar =)

Plaga Scythe is current best nonrelic/unreasonableMagian except when you have a DNC in the party since its effect will apparently overwrite Haste Samba's. In this case, high DMG Ultimatum is.

what about the STR/ATK Absolution?

STR/ATTACK Absolution. The only issue is you have to Pole Grip /SAM instead of Sword Strap, but it is still better than Plaga Scythe, especially against bigger game.

That said, he did say unreasonable Magian, and the Flan/Manticore stages to make STR Absolution are about as unreasonable as it gets on the other side of the Relic trial fence, and I speak from personal experience there. (Though I flans before patch)

What are stats on that? Haven't seen it on the wiki. Open to being corrected!

btw, for those who are afraid, the 200 flans stage isn't too bad... you only get (roughly) 30 kills per firesday, but it's not as bad as qutrubs
