Why Does Ffxiah Not Update To Complete TOA And Captain Rank

idk if this has ever been asked b4 or not but id like those extra 1000 points from the list for competed TOA missions and captain rank listed. anyone know why its not?

i remember the captain thing being brought up before. think it had something to do with it being too hard for the admins to confirm the rank, they'd have to check your title instead of LS community.

LS community only lists 1st Lt iirc.

FFXIAH only updates what the LS community shows.

The Linkshell Community site doesn't list Captain Rank, thus you don't get anything.

and i wouldn't expect the admins to ever go through every character looking for the captain title to award those extra points. can't say i blame them though XD would be nice if that 50% would just be made a 100% if there are no plans to award the extra points.

Do you really care about achievements? Do you play on an Xbox? Congratulations, your life isn't complete until all achievements are!

I get the point but that's slightly rude for the way the question was asked.

Personally i don't live my life by it but if it tracks everything else great you ever did why not get credit for captain if you already have it?

actually i dont play crapbox... but its kinda funny when i posted this first thing i said was i wonder how long b4 someone had to be a ***...... didnt take but 6 or so posts lol and yes i do care i like to see how i rank vs the ppl on my server that are registed.

Ffxiah.com does track titles when they appear on the Linkshell Community pages, so it can actually record when people become "Captain" so long as it is their active title (or changed back to "Captain" at the WG NPC) at the point of an update check. So feasibly ffxiah.com could be programmed to look for that (title recorded) as confirmation of "Captain rank" for the Achievement Ranking, as a work-around.

That being said, it's much more reasonable to just expect SE to fix their @$@@%@ @$@%$@ site to work the way it should.

If it doesn't show on the lsc site, ffxiah.com wont be able to pull it.

Hmm. Isn't it more like, "Without some inelegant, cruddy code to parse through titles and patch the mission data, we cannot display that info. The better solution is for you guys to bug SE to fix their stupid Linkshell Community site."?

Not really, because they only pull the info directly from what's displayed on the Linkshell Community website. I don't think they're willing to basically attempt to hack character info.

We should appreciate what they do for us already. I'm Captain, and I'm not bitching.

Couldn't it be changed to just look your currently scanned titles for the captain title: "Captain" and if found, award you with the points?

I really think SE should just fix the LS community, and everything would be fixed from there.

I wonder just how many actually have sent them e-mails. I haven't, yet... I'll do that in the morning.
