How Often Of Do U NPC Items

why is it that when u go to the AH there are always items like bat wings, flint stones, rock salt, insect wings, lizard tails, ect, even a ton of crystals up for sale. I my self and many other ppl i talk to always npc these items. personaly i wont save a stack of any thing to sell on ah unless it sells for over like 10k. So who are these ppl who put these items up on the AH?

People who want more than the NPC price? Seriously, all that stuff is necessary for crafting, so people will pay for it. Getting a stack of lizard tails is incredibly quick (especially in Crawler's Nest) so the money is more "there" than you might think. But when I'm skilling in Aht Urhgan Whitegate and the AH is right next to the guild, I'm more likely to just buy stuff from there instead of going out to farm and then coming back.

I npc items that are less then 30k on ah. for fees and time

I'll sell a completed stack of just about anything over 1k/stack, but only if I have room. I'm not holding a 20k Astaroth Cane for 12 hours while a 1.5k stack of lightning crystals or some ***sells.

i send all those partial stacks of crystals, bonechips, beehive chips etc to my mule to collect until it makes a stack. then after a week of 500-4000 sales of various "vendor trash". my mule can send out 25-35k back to my main.

I AH things like crystals, lizard tails etc. on my mules.

The decent stuff is sold on AH by my main or alts.

I toss crystals/random crap but NPC shitty augmented items

It's why some people have relics and most don't lol

Anything below 10kish~ in the AH is going to be npc'd.

I remember back when I started playing I used to do that, nowadays I just NPC, or if I have a stack I'll throw it up if there's room on my AH.

I would AH my stacks of crystals and such, but the sales tax in both Jeuno and WG is just to high for my stingy ***, so I NPC it in WG

Not sure about Jeuno, but The safehold tax is about 50% less than WG.

Yeah, if I could go back in time and un-NPC all those Wind Crystals and Treant Bulbs, I could definitely afford a relic. That, or I'd have an extra like 100k.

So, if something sells for 20-25k on AH and NPCs for like, 700 gil, you just NPC it?

In the same light though sometimes stuff goes for same or more than AH price. Common high tier spells are a good example. Pro IV vendor price = 4.5k, AH price might be like 5k.

Generally i`ll npc things that sell for less than 1k on the AH because of the fee`s, crystals and bird fodder i just npc en-mass

I don't NPC many items.

I do NPC things like Bird Blood and surplus crafted items that I won't use and which aren't very valuable.

I also NPC scroll drops, unless there are none up, in which case I put one or two up so that someone who needs them doesn't have to pay the crazy-high prices that they can cost from NPCs. (40k+ for Thunder III from the NPC!)

Oh, and I always NPC Warding Oil (can't AH it anyway), Leech Saliva, most of the crappy gear drops from gobbies (if I don't drop them straight-off), and a few other little other things that I don't remember right now.

Crystals and synthing materials I can, or will later be able to, use are sent to mules, most of which have decently increased storage, safe, and inventory space (furniture for max storage, and some Gobbie Bag quests, but no Lockers).

On these mules, I AH stacks of Treant Bulbs, most Feathers (I drop or NPC Yagudo Feathers), and various other items that sell on the various AHs reasonably often for 1k or above.

It feels wrong to NPC an item for me sometimes.

Jeuno AH is same as Tav, cheaper than Aht urghan and Al Zahbi.

I NPC a lot of things, usually stuff that I have less than 10 of that I know I'll never finish the stack of and never use myself. I have a lot of crafting mules though so I tend to be a packrat and eventually I get fed up and NPC all my junk to make space quick.

I only NPC things that NPC for more than they sell for on the AH or about the same when you count auction fee's.

Pretty much anytime the difference between npc and ah price is less than 1k difference after fees for cheaper stuff. A little higher on the few things that npc for decent amounts. This would be per item or per stack depending on what it is and how it actually sells. And of course anything that npcs for more or just doesn't sell hardly at all.

Unless it brings in about 1k on AH, I just NPC it.. I'll only even sell something that goes for 1k if it sells relatively fast (12-24 hours).

I npc stuff if it sells less than 1k or if it npcs for about as much as it costs on the AH.

I npc alot of crystals, colibri feathers/beaks, bat wings, alot of stuff I get from campaign..

I don't get NPCing bat wings. Whenever I get these, I hold them til the next time I head out to SanDoria. But yeah, if something sells for less than 1k, I'll normally just dump at an NPC. Except for bone chips. those I quickly make into bone hairpins, then NPC those instead.

Depends with me, I NPC stuff which I won't be expecting a return on worth the AH space used up. Which in my case is often alot.

Everytime I merit/exp, go to sky, farm etc.
No way I'm holding on to all those crystals, feathers and garbage.and you wonder why you never have any gil?

The only time I NPC something is if it's an incomplete stack of something cheap ( < 1k/stack) that I won't get a full stack of within the next couple of days, or if the NPC and AH prices are very close.
