PM's are acting funny. Read PM's dissapear from my inbox. I see a new PM is waiting for me but my inbox is empty and then get the pm in an email.

I have a question, why do I not have PM option availabl when I post in the forums the button is not on top of my posts, and I can't seem to fix it myself. Need help please!
Judging by the name above your avatar, you don't have a character verified, or don't have the verified character set as your default profile, so you have no PM ability.
But I do have a verified character!
The PM button for user posts will be added later.

My bug report was posted after you guys got the pm's working again.
So the server merge happened. I verified my character and changed the default in My Accounts to my new server.character name.
My archive is now empty. When I get a new PM I don't see Inbox(1).

I'm having an issue currently. My PMs don't disappear or anything, but if I have one in my inbox unread, it won't tell me I have a new one. I have to click on my inbox to see if I have any, I find it inconvenient. But I understand there are more important things to maintain on the site than the PM system. Just saying~
Hehe, no worries Budoukiba. I haven't had the same problem myself, but I'll ask Scragg to look into it.
To try to clear things up and to better fix bugs in the system. There is a difference between "unread" and "new". New conversations will be un-newed when you read the inbox that contains the new conversation.
All conversations are marked as unread by default until you click them. If someone replies to a conversation, that conversation will be marked as unread and flagged as new.
If by 'unread' you meant 'new', then that is a known bug I am working on. If you meant unread, then it doesn't mean it will be marked as new.

What I mean is, it's unread AND I haven't checked my inbox for it until the moment that I first see it. Before, it would list as "New" when a reply was posted in the ongoing conversation, if that helps clear anything up.

Ok, is it just me or are PM's messed up again? I keep getting the icon saying "Inbox New(1)" and i click on it, and i really dont have a new message, all i have is old hater mail from a noob.
Getting the Inbox New(1) now too, and my inbox (and all the other folders there) are empty :3
Mine are working now, they messed up earlier though and I posted about it. Try waiting a few moments and it should be back.
Mine has been showing a new message dispite nothing being in my inbox too, for a couple weeks now.

Apparently they link PMs to all characters you have on this account. So if you have another one it will go to that characters inbox but still give you the new message thingy and email notification

Just in case though, check the drop-down menu next to the small icon on the upper left to see if there's a red number in parentheses next to any other alternate accounts you may have.
